The sofa was well used and soft. The bed was difficult to get in because of slope in ceiling. There was a smell in bathroom all the time.

Bathroom a decent size
Bed is the worst ive ever slept in, lumpy and you roll into the middle. Neither of us could sleep through the night.
Bedlinen very old and worn. Pillows smelt funky, pillow case ripped.
Only one old hard rough towel each which is impractical for a week let alone if using the jacuzzi. One old hard hand towel as well. Rough is an understatement.
Overwhelming smell of raw sewage as you are right next to the pile of pigs manure in the middle of a working farm, not what was described.
Bed is under the eaves so you have to bend double on one side and edge along the bed to get in it at night. Banged my head every night getting up and down.
Jacuzzi seen better days and the controls are worn out so we could only get the lights to come on.
It’s dog friendly apparently, yet we were messaged saying we can’t leave our dogs unattended (they were crated at all times and we only left them for an hour in their crate once).
No tea towels etc and the barbecue was rusty and would need cleaning before use.
Emails were sent prior to the trip but no response, yet very quick to collect the £50 jacuzzi supplement that we could only use once. And then chased multiple times to pay the £25 for the dogs.
Sofa and chair were dirty and everything feels tired and in need of a total refresh of at least cleaning.
It lacks any personal touch or the sort of things you expect like decent bedlinen, nice towels, even some salt and pepper would be nice. Getting ready in the bedroom was also hard work due to no seating except one side of the bed and a tiny mirror on the nearly unusable table.
Bathroom a decent size, but door handle broken, no lock, shower controls were a guess and hit then cold then hot again without touching them and the bathroom steamed up straight away as the vent isn’t up to the job.
Location was also not as we thought as you cut walk anywhere as your inner middle of a working farm and you can’t get anywhere without the car.

Beautiful house, wonderful hot tub with great privacy and fabulous views. Quiet location, easy access to Scarborough and great base for Yorkshire Moors and coast. Very welcoming hosts. Very relaxing place. A brilliant butchers farm shop across the yard, great takeaway delivery service from Cinnamon Indian nearby. Spotlessly clean house, great wet room and living areas. Nice modern and warm space. Will definitely return.
Bedroom ceiling angle very low which made getting in and out of bed a bit difficult. The TV was extremely difficult to use.

When we arrived we were greeted by friendly staff, who instantly made us feel welcome at the lodge. After a brief tour, we entered and were instantly amazed. it was the most beautiful (and exceptionally clean) holiday home with a rustic and wooden cottage theme, with modernised features for the perfect contemporary balance.

The hot tub was a wonderful feature that made the stay even more enjoyable, and the kitchen equipment even allowed us to cook a full hot roast pork with all the trimmings.
overall no real complaints, upstairs was a bit hot at nighttime so we woke up sweating, yet a proper cooling fan would probably fix this.
would definitely stay at the kaitkyella again

This property is outstanding. Absolutely beautiful inside and out. Everything felt high spec and good quality. The location is perfect as only 10 minutes from the beach but with stunning views of the countryside from the rear of the property. Best of both worlds! The hot tub was a luxurious added bonus and provided the perfect spot to watch the sunset. The hosts went above and beyond when our 9mth old was struggling to sleep on a hot evening and went out to purchase a fan at 9:30pm! This property is such good value and we would have definitely paid more for it.
