Great hot tub and location

Property wasnt very clean, towel were dirty, only 1 teaspoon in draw, kitchen utensils dirty, lots of cobwebs everywhere

Quiet peaceful location.

It was in a quiet location and felt very private, it was in a remote location with some lovely places to see, was easy to access

The maintenance team did not respond to the hot tub being cold so was unable to use this for the last day/night and could of been cleaner, it would be handy to have access to a hoover as I felt I needed to hoover it.

Great value for money and quiet.

The place was easy to find and easy to get into. Large and spacious and very comfortable. Close to Scarborough and shops. Nice and quiet.

No wifi. No shop or facilities on site. Some parts could do with a little touch up. The frying pan has seen better days.

Tv very small, and not a smart TV. No wifi, sofas were a little uncomfortable but we just joined them together and have a sofa day with the duvet.

Applegrove 22 Lux Sky - This is definitely not a luxury lodge despite it's name!

The sauna was fabulous for us & the reason we booked this lodge in particular. A basic little cabin but just enough for the purpose, pity the door wouldn't shut properly & some of the interior features were missing..like lights, working timer etc. Hot tub was nice & clean but is dated & basic. Wasn't really getting hot enough for cold miserable weather with the lid open. Felt exposed being so high up on the deck & very overlooked from the nextdoor lodge when they arrived. Seemed to have dodgy controls that you needed to guess how to use when water went onto that area the lights would buzz on & off. Lodge had lovely hot water. We got a price deal but would still say it was expensive even with the discount considering everything like the lack of interior comfort, no decent cooking facilities..we could of had an hotel stay with breakfast for the same price for 3 nights without having to buy a frying pan as that's the only way to cook anything on a hob! I have to write these next comments in the 'like' section as I've ran out of space on the 'dislike' section of review! There was a news report recently about non stick pans that are scratched & peeling leaching into your food when cooking & causing cancer! PS - I don't wear any foundation makeup & this was disgusting to find on the presented 'clean' towels & side of bed sheet - had they been changed at all was my next question so I slept on a folded over duvet. Poor show & no attention to detail seems to be the flavour here :(

The keys were in a lock box on the side of door but there's no light to see the digit codes which seemed difficult to rotate so it took a while to even realise that the box wasn't even locked! We had to drive around a few times upon arrival trying to find the right lodge looking at every building in the dark to try find the right name & number! A MAP would REALLY HELP! Also the lodge was just number 22 - not the full name it has on the booking & only worked out it was the right place cos of the sauna on the side deck area. Bathroom door handle & lock broken & I got 'trapped' in there a few times when completely shutting the door :( The boiler cupboard was swimming with water on the floor when we arrived & there's not enough heating in the living space for it to be comfortable at this time of year. We were cold sitting watching tv, warm enough in the bedroom which was good due to rubbish bedding provided & the small bathroom towel rail was good for drying things. Furniture lacking comfort (not the same furniture as the photos show) & not great if 4 adults were there together - better for a 2 person place. No toiletries other than a tiny soap. Totally grim tea towel & the frying pans were shocking, we couldn't use them as they were so scratched & greasy yeuchhh - the first thing we had to do was go out to buy a new one or not cook. Very basic pans, odd cutlery & glasses. No proper oven despite listing stating an oven - microwave is a grill combination but the trivet to use grill aspect or anything to use in ti are missing. The beds are terrible, lumpy crap mattresses, no mattress protectors, sheets that don't fit properly to cover adequately & only summer weight quilts with no additional blankets or throws to use if you are cold during the night. I found a makeup stained towel rolled up for our use on the bed along with similar stains on the side of the bed sheet!

Good stay, just a few bits of the property that need to be updated or fixed to make it better.

The park was nice and the hot tub was great. Fact you could bring pets was positive! Overall good size for us with 2 adults and 2 kids.

So, the double bed mattress is awful - you can feel the springs coming through the mattress. Also, the bathroom door is broken and the toilet seat is broken too, so whenever you sit on it, it basically falls off. Really needs to be changed asap.

Had to pay an additional £30 for parking on the drive adjacent to the property that had a sign indicating it was parking for that accommodation! I don’t feel charging an additional amount is fair when the drive belongs to the accommodation. Advertised as having an oven, it doesn’t. It has a gas hob & microwave/combo grill. So all the oven cookable food we had went to waste. No instructions for the microwave. No wine glasses and only one teaspoon for accommodation sleeping 4.

Bed is super uncomfortable and there was no oven, only a microwave oven grill with no instructions of how to use. Everything else made up for it though :)

Going Home

No oven or air fryer. Not comfortable bed, thin pillows. No WiFi. Very run down, no staff or customer service. Outdoor wooden decking very dangerous, full of green algae. Unfortunately 2 of my friends slipped and fell. 1 of my friends is very badly injured. Messaged Applegrove country park no response.

Lovely spot, would go again!

Surprisingly spacious place to stay!

More basics could have been provided. There was no dishwasher tablets, tiny bottle of washing up liquid was provided, no hand soap, one bin bag.

Bitterly Disappointing

Bitterly disappointed with this property,, it wasn't cheap either, could feel bed springs in bed, even the children complained about them, cleanliness was terrible, found a salt cellar under couch, had an awful smell, we went out and bought bleach and cleaning products to make the place feel more cleaner, contemplated leaving a day early but the kids wanted to stay, only good thing about this cabin was the actual hottub, the cabin also advertises an oven.., it was a microwave, the guy told us it was a combination oven yet couldn't work it either!

Absolutely shocking service

Clean and nice location

Had no heating or hot water and couldn't get in touch with anyone. Never received any return calls. Space wasn't suitable for our party which included 2 young boys and a 6 month old baby. No cot provided as requested so I had to share a bed with son and baby - dangerous and against all advice. No high chair so fed baby on floor with a make shift play seat.

I was quite annoyed when learning that for my 2 days away the hot tub was not already filled which i would of thought was normal. and the oven never worked so we were stuck one night with food we had bought for the oven to cook when it didnt turn on.

Enjoyable stay but we were very disappointed with the lack of cleanliness.

The hot tub was great and very relaxing. The lodge itself was cosy (we loved the electric fireplace).

We did not find the lodge to be very clean. The carpets were dirty with stains and dead spiders/insects and had clearly not been hoovered. There was black mould behind the bed in the spare room. The shower hose was split and was leaking water into a shower tray which was also mouldy. The plates were dirty and the microwave had not been cleaned and there were still food particles i.e. chicken in the microwave. The sofa in the living room was very hard and uncomfortable.

Lovely little lodge in a nice quiet location. Clean and comfortable. Hot tub was excellent. We had a fantastic weekend break.

Loss of power all the time

Enjoyed the get away and the fact is was a quiet area with a hot tub.

Regular power cuts leaving us with no heating and limited use of the hot tub because of these power cuts.

Lovely break away

The site is quiet, which is what we wanted. A pub and shop within walking distance. Short drive to Scarborough & villages in the area. Hot tub was our main reason for booking & was perfect. Lodge is modern.

Could do with a washing line or something to hang wet clothes, instructions for microwave/oven and wine glasses would help.

Wouldn’t stay here again!

The hot tub

No oven, even though it stated in the description when booking that there would be an oven. So after spending money on a food shop, we were unable to cook any of it. Mould in the shower, mold and dirt on curtains, hole in the wall behind the bedroom door, no toilet roll so had to buy our own, no batteries in the tv remote so also had to buy our own. Flys everywhere inside the property. Kitchen appliances were dirty.

I wouldn’t stay again

The location was good

Unfortunately the property was not clean, the bedding was not changed from the previous occupant, this was obvious with the dog hairs on the beds. The fire doesn’t work. And the hot tub lid has no specific location to be held once lifted and you have to roll this down the walk way. There was no sweeping brush or mop for when getting out of the hot tub, which was half empty on the first day. Someone attended while we were out on the Saturday and filled this up but by to much and it was overflowing, not to mention the gas safety cert was out of date.

The kitchen was spacious with some equipment. The hot tub was nice and there was parking.

Really expensive for its quality. It's not been properly cleaned as we discovered looking behind the sofa's. It's really small and cramp and the beds are uncomfortable.

It was very spacious and homely. It was equipped with everything we needed and everything was immaculately clean. The hot tub was a perfect temperature when we arrived and also very clean and private.

Loved it! Already looked to re-book!

Hot tub was amazing my daughter loved it! The terrace area was perfect really made a difference felt like an extra room especially with the gate, felt really private and safe for young children and animals.

There was a bit of debris around (a metal advertising board abandoned on its side that could be seen from the window) but that certainly wasn’t major issue was just surprising it was there.

Quiet area. Loved the hot tub and sauna. Very clean, tidy with small extras (tea, coffee, etc), which were welcomed.

Very poor....

We stayed in lux1,was there for our3rd anniversary Table dusty, curtains in bedroom mouldy,was small, looks bigger in pictures. Hot tub not private can be seen by other people and the park camera right on top of ya, the only pub open was blacksmith's Arms and stops serving food 2 o'clock all others were closed down or not open..TV doesn't work prop because aerial under a tree at bk so constantly lost signal, no WiFi so no good for kids who use ipads phones etc. .. Nothing within serious walking distance, only half a roll of toilet paper.. No wine glasses only tall glasses and tumblers so had to drink our champagne we bought for anniversary out of pint glasses... Hot tub in an area with bushes and trees around it so soon fills with bugs and debry...definitely not worth nearly £200 for 1night.. Would not recommend to anyone we no.. We stayed Tattershall lakes for £49 more and an extra day much better even had WiFi and welcome hamper with presecco and munchies....

Be careful booking a lodge, you might end up at a different site completely!

First of all, when we booked to stay at Applegrove we received a message on booking.com to say that we’d actually booked Little Eden in Brid. No idea how they get away with this when all my confirmation says Applegrove. But we turned up to Little Eden only to find our key code was wrong and the hot tub was completely empty. We lost our 1st night of the 2 nights we booked due to this.

Having to chase up staff at the site because theres no one actually there running it. The hot tub maintenance man knew more about the lodges than the staff coming and going from the office. We waited 5 hours after check in time for the tub to be filled which took us to 9pm. Losing our 1st night in the tub. We had to wait in the car for an hour with 2 kids because the code they gave us for the key was wrong. No towels of any sort. The towel lady came round at 8pm giving them out.

Hot tub and easy access

Beds were terrible, worst I've slept on. The oven didn't work. The caravan wasn't cleaned thoroughly. There was damp in the bathroom and the shower didn't drain away so had to be stopped to prevent flooding.
