    The hotel was in a good location, directly above medborgarplatsen station of the train. The area around the hotel was also good. There is iCA and coop within walking distance The room was excellent and the service was great. Bathroom was a shower which is separated from the toilet and sink area by a glass door. Breakfast wise, there are many options, however the same set of food is served every time. Its really expensive in Stockholm, so i think this hotel is worth it. If ever i have a chance to visit again, i will most likely check in here again.

    Vi var meget glade for vores ophold på Scandic Malmen! Meget venligt personale, flot indretning og fint værelse med alt, man skulle bruge, inklusiv meget behagelige senge med lækre dyner. Det ligger i et godt område i gåafstand til mange gode caf´éer m.m. i Södermalm og lige ved siden af metroen. Det eneste minus var, at der var ret koldt på værelset pga. ventilationssystemet, selvom vi havde slukket for det på værelset.

    This hotel has two underground levels with subterranean room that do not have windows or natural light. The rooms are called “without window” but Agoda lists a window among the amenities, which is not accurate. I ended up upgrading my room after the first night and paying 300 kroners per night for an upstairs room.

    I love Scandic hotels! I have stayed at many of their locations, in many countries, including several in Sweden. This location is great. I have stayed here before. On the request form, I put in that I would like a room on a “high floor.” They told me at Check In I had a room with no windows, the Economy room, which I requested. So they put me on a basement level. I asked if they had any rooms with no windows on a high floor available, and they said yes. Though they said I could only stay there for an additional charge. Perhaps this was because I had just paid 200SEK to Check In early, they thought they could get more money out of me? I’m honestly not sure, if there were Economy rooms open on higher floors. It seems like the most logical solution. For me, it is fine, I can sleep through anything (including the sound of the metro), and it was in close proximity to the gym. So all of that was fine. For someone else, however, it may have been a problem. It also smells a bit funky on this lower level (and I have a lousy sense of smell).
