Close to the beach.
Too close to the past. Everything is old, nothing is gold. We basically paid for the view — the rest came as a free history lesson.

We have stayed at the Danaos three times. It is in a great location, immediately opposite the Nea Chora beach. The rooms at the front have sea views, but we stayed in a cheaper room at the back. The balcony was a reasonable size, the bed comfortable, good air conditioning (at no extra cost) and a nice bathroom including a modern shower. The staff are friendly and helpful, and there is a nice bar at the front of the hotel which also serves food. The old Venetian Harbour and Chania old town are about a 15 minute walk away. We will certainly stay here again.

Next to the beach and sea. The lady at the desk was really nice.
Small room and bathroom. The price is really high just because you’re next to the beach, which is really crowded. It is also really high compared to the cleanliness and equipments in the room.
