Grecian Sands Hotel

Good size room and very clean. Beds were very comfortable. The manager and staff were very helpful and professional. Hotel was only a few minutes away from a wonderful beach and only fifteen minutes from the town centre.

Everything was excellent! The hotel staff were extremely friendly and always available to help with anything we needed. The rooms were clean and well maintained, with towels changed daily, which is a big plus. The option to get beach towels is also a great convenience. Breakfast was delicious and offered a wide variety of choices for every taste. Overall, the hotel definitely deserves a recommendation — a perfect place to relax and enjoy your stay!

The hotel is nice overall, but there are a few things that could be improved. The dinner buffet often had only one or two enjoyable dishes, and many meals were too spicy — a stronger focus on Greek cuisine would be much better. It also wasn’t clear that drinks during dinner are charged separately, like water and coffee. Clearer information about what’s included in dinner would help avoid confusion. Additionally, one waiter was a bit unfriendly every night, and a chef arguing with another chef in front of guests about cleaning food from the flor (15th october dinner) didn’t look professional. Other than that, the stay was pleasant.

This was our third stay at Grecian Sands and we will definitely come back! The location is great, with easy access to the Sea and within walking distance from the Ayia Napa Harbor The rooms are big and clean, with comfortable beds The lunch and dinner buffets are diverse with a lot of good options Friendly staff all around the place, which really enhances the experience

The blinds in the rooms don’t close all the way and there was a lot of light coming from outside at night The breakfast menu is always the same and it gets dull after 2-3 days

Grecian Sands Hotel is a small property located next to a beautiful beach in Ayia Napa. The pool, though modest in size, is suitable for both parents and children. Our room overlooked the pool and was spacious and well-suited for a family, with a generously sized bathroom. The lunch at the hotel’s restaurant was a pleasant surprise-delicious, with large portions and some kid-friendly options. While not cheap, the quality partially justified the price. The hotel’s location was relatively convenient, just an 8-minute taxi ride from the center of Ayia Napa, and the beach nearby was stunning with turquoise waters. The beds in the family room were comfortable, and the bathroom included both a bathtub and a separate shower.

Unfortunately, the hotel had several serious shortcomings. There was no lifeguard or staff presence around the pool, leaving guests solely responsible for safety. The limited number of sunbeds and the poor condition of the surrounding grassy area made it difficult for families with children. Our room was infested with mosquitoes-28 of which I personally killed-and other insects, with no solution offered by the hotel. We eventually asked housekeeping to stop cleaning the room to avoid further insect entry. It was clear this wasn’t an isolated issue but a long-standing maintenance failure. The hotel should inspect rooms thoroughly before handing them over to guests, and if it were up to me, I would immediately dismiss the maintenance manager and hire someone who genuinely cares about room conditions. Breakfast was extremely basic and unappetizing, with hard rolls, long lines for bland omelets, and juice machines that barely worked. The shower area was poorly maintained, with black mold, missing grout, and an occasional sewage smell. The steep terrain around the hotel made walking difficult, and there were no nearby restaurants, requiring either delivery or taxi rides for meals.

The staff was friendly, service was excellent, and all requests were met with a smile. I loved the room interiors and the balconies. The location was a short walk away from great fine dining and pick up spots for different activities.

Spacious rooms, really nice sea view from the balcony. Good variety in the breakfast buffet and also dinners were nice for most of the times (although not very kids-friendly). There was a pool table that we played several times, for 2EUR (coin-activation). Seems like the rooms were quite clean after housekeeping.

We were missing soaps and toiletries, it seems that hotel is a bit cheap on those since we asked several times (we had more than one shower a day) and only got 2 more, just one time. Lobby and bar area not so clean (chairs, tables, etc.). Some old furnitures, holes/ stains in some of the rugs in the corridors - not that disturbing but also not what I would expect from this level of hotel. Some stuff need to be changes, updated and renovated. Kids corner very slim: located in the far side of the outdoor pool, and inside a massive sand crate. The room itself is very small and the most of the toys and things there needs a modern boost. Meals during the day by the pool bar were a bit too expensive for what you get (around 60EUR for a family of four, mostly sandwitches). Almost nothing to eat for a vegan in the buffet and dinners - only a vegan burger in the pool bar.
