The gite was in a fabulous position in Cahors, to fulfil our needs - house-hunting and touring the area - and also going into the town for restaurants, supermarkets,.... It has a great little kitchen, with everything you need to prepare a meal (4-burner gas hob, full oven, dishes, pots and pans, microwave, big fridge, freezer,...). There's even a washing machine, with a small clothes line outside, as well as a small bbq and outdoor eating area. But best of all was our host Cathy, who was kindness itself. She even brought us tomatoes from her garden, and between her broken English, and my broken French, we got along well. A small problem with the shower drainage swiftly brought a man to fix it, but it had miraculously fixed itself! The secure, off-road parking was a plus.

The shower cubicle could have been a little better, with a door, rather than a curtain. As I am disabled, a plastic chair/seat would have been appreciated in there.

Good breakfast and a very friendly and helpful hostess. A very good and cost effective base to spend more time and explore the local area.
