Appartement Fauvette

There are lots of great things about this flat. The location is perfect, it's on a lovely quiet street, a short walk down to the port. It's a historic property with lots of character. The kitchen is well-equipped and fairly new. The bathrooms are older. The small patio garden at the back is a nice place to sit and eat, we had breakfast there every day.

We were disappointed to discover that the property only has one toilet. The listing had incorrectly suggested there were two toilets. That has now been corrected but many people may still assume that two bathrooms means two toilets. In fact, the bathroom upstairs is large with a sink and a shower over a bath. The second bathroom downstairs is a small shower room with a tiny sink. Next to that is the one and only toilet. Also, while the interior of the property was clean, the patio felt neglected. The table needed to be wiped and the tiled floor had not been swept.

Location was great, nice outside space, ,clean bedding, comfortable accommodation.

Being of a certain age and not speaking french was a problem for us, even getting a taxi back to the air port was difficult, could not ask the host as they could not understand us, we are not up on technology, but they sounded very nice .

I loved the size as most properties in st.Martin are small. the house was Very clean. The kitchen had everything you need with a barbecue out in a courtyard. It was so central. Less than 5 mins to the food markets & bakery. The lady who met us was lovely and explained how to use everything very well. If staying with children 1x bedroom downstairs & 2 x upstairs. They have gate//guard provided at stairs.

I loved everything. We lacked nothing. Perhaps in hotter weather you might like a fan but this was not applicable to our holiday temperatures.
