Nothing at all. Excellent all round.

Really all of it from the moment we entered it

Lovely apartment, and beautifully clean. Excellent location for what we needed.
Only comment i would make is that the beds could do with updating. There are two singles which wasn't a problem but they were quite short and not very comfy

Location was very central
The apartment was very interesting, The courtyard was fulll of plants
The conversion of the property had been very carefully designed to produce an interesting apartment

Very friendly host, and the apartment is lovely!
The property is great, but Shepton Mallet itself was a bit of a let down and we struggled to find anywhere nice to eat on a Saturday night. It was very quiet with only a handful of restaurants, most of which were fully booked.

The apartment had everything you would need. lovely garden area, very clean.
the apartment is above the lower court yard. you have a garden area, but the stairs was a set if did not account for. The garden stairs. the banister is covered in a clematis, so your grip is covered. And my husband fell in the uneven pavement when we had returned in the dark one night. ( he does not drink) I did not see the hosts to show and explain on the day we left.
The stairs inside the property are very steep as they look in the pictures. this was not great for my knees.

The actual Courtyard was a lovely little place to sit outside and relax. We loved that Ruth's dog Roxy liked to come up and see us. She was such a little darling.
There was nothing to not like about the apartment.

Good location in the heart of Shepton Mallet. Well equipped little apartment for one night. It was a good location for a cycling event we had.
No good for anyone with mobility issues, we were fine! Lots of stairs! Very compact and although we understand they don’t want people fiddling with heating, it was really cold. Heating set at 18 and it was a very cold night when we stayed.

Clean, homely and included all the necessities plus lovely thoughtful extra details such as leaflets for local attractions, coffee machine with 2 pods ready to go, all other amenities stocked, bathroom equipped with a lighted mirror which is very useful, and biscuit jar ready to munch on in the kitchen!

Clear instructions about access were left by Ruth, the host. It is a wonderful quirky property with tons of charm. The beds are extremely comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped and the lounge comfortable. A lovely space to spend two days in.
Instruction on how to find the property could perhaps be improved. We found it purely by chance. Instructions on how to drive to the parking spot would be very helpful. The parking spot was very close to the apartment which accommodated our van - brilliant! However it proved a bit fiddly to get access to it. It was also a little bit hard to get hold of Ruth to bring us a second towel, however this was quickly addressed once we managed to connect. The stairs to the bedroom are very steep - perhaps important to state this in the ad. It was not a problem for us but could very easily be for other guests. We were a little bit concerned about evacuation in the event of a fire. There didn't seem to be any options apart for the one entry route.

The location was perfect and the property immaculate - couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay! We’ll definitely consider staying again when we return to Shepton Mallet. 🙂

The communication and information prior to my arrival was excellent and very helpful.
I was working at an event nearby and felt like on a mini holiday. Everything was perfectly arranged, including a small bottle of milk in the fridge
That I had to leave and couldn't stay a little longer

Spacious apartment with a delightful courtyard. Very well set up kitchen. Right on the Main Street . We chose it due to its central proximity to Glastonbury village, Wells, Street and Frome

Great facilities, convenient location to the area’s amenities and so quiet!
A double bed would have been preferred but the single bed was incredibly comfortable!

We happened to bump into the host as we arrived and she gave us a warm welcome. Not only tea and coffee provided, but also some fruit and very nice biscuits. Exceptionally clean property with a well-stocked kitchen. Interesting design. We are hoping to return for another visit.
The entrance to the property is through a courtyard with a lot of stairs and plants, so you need to be sure of your footing - not that easy in the dark. Duvet was a little too warm for my liking - but better that than too cold. It would be helpful to provide a map as to where the parking space is as well as the photos. I understand that their dog normally has the run of the courtyard, so you need to let the hosts know if that will be a problem (they were happy to keep it inside their house for our stay).

The stay is nice and clean. Shoes are restricted and plants in the kitchen let you have a natural, warm and good feeling. All kitchen facilities are well equipped and clean. Tissue and shower are good. There’s a lot of flowers outside that I love them most.
You would pass through steps to reach and steps inside. Refundable £50 will be pay for any damage and refund after 7 days.

good location on the main street
many many stairs - including real head bangers as you accessed the bedroom on the top loft floor. Do not recommend for anyone tall or anyone wih mobility issues.

The apartment was very well designed for the space and was extremely well furnished and equipped. The courtyard was full of wonderful plants and the hosts 8were gracious and helpful
The internet was down due to some technical problems beyond the hosts ability to repair.

the apartment was clean, comfy and had all that was needed including a lovely fan which was most needed in this hot weather and the oasis of a patio was beautiful . The host is friendly, helpful and their two dogs very quiet and no problem. The position in Shepton Mallet town centre was fabulous for walking to the historic sites.
Only minus point was the very steep stairs to the bed room. Also being opposite the pub and in the hot weather the windows open it got a little rowdy on the second night. However the landlord did move the people on, so not the fault of our host. quite a lot of stairs in this property so if you have mobility problems its not the place for you .

Well appointed and very clean. Near to East Stannard House.
Difficult to find despite being in the centre of Shepton Mallet. Not ideal for anyone with mobility issues. Metal staircase leading up to the apartment plus keypads etc to enter the property made it difficult with bringing luggage in. Rope handles on a twisting staircase leading to a small bedroom problematic especially with the bathroom being on the ground floor. Patio area outside the property small and cluttered the owners washing hanging out! A returnable deposit of £50 required on arrival which we found a little irritating ?

We liked the details that had been added to an already lovely apartment. Those extra touches like fruit and biscuits make the welcome more personal and we loved all the plants.
The apartment is quirky in a good way and has everything you might want for a stay away from home.

Great central location. Clean, comfortable and welcoming apartment. Ruth was brilliant and went the extra mile making sure mum was comfy and everything was ok (I hadn't factored in the tight spiral staircase to the bedroom. Ruth kindly set up the sofa bed in the easier to access living room).
Lovely welcoming additions of fruit, cookies and milk were waiting for us on arrival.
Such a lovely apartment, I would have loved to stay longer than one night to really enjoy the comforts.

Loved having the space of an apartment with a full kitchen, washing machine and lounge. It was warm and sunny and nicely decorated and has every thing you need. It is also quiet, but you have easy access to restaurants, cafes and grocery stores. Parking.
Unfortunately the stairs . Whilst the stairs to the bedroom are pictured on the listing, you don’t appreciate how hard they are to negotiate with a suitcase until you try it. The bedroom is on the 3rd floor of a very old building in the Main Street.

A perfect home from home. Everything that you could possibly need and more. The hosts have really thought about who maybe staying there and accomdated for all guests. A lovely cosy lounge and large kitchen/diner and loved the attic bedroom. The garden terrace is beautiful and should imagine if you where staying in the summer months it would be lovely to sit out there with a glss of wine. Private parking spot was a great bonus. Will definitely return if in the area again.
