Comfortable, private & full of character

The Manor House Annexe is spacious, clean, homely and filled with character. We felt at home there right away. The kitchen is large & well equipped, the beds very comfortable and the lounge room is an inviting & relaxing space. It is also quiet & private.

The ensuite bathroom shower was a little tricky to use, i think we could have done with instructions on how to use it!

Enjoyable in a quiet location everything we wanted

Breakfast not included overall very spacious comfortable accomodation

Outside space was impressive but could do with a little bit of a tidy up Property had 2 toilets upstairs but none downstairs. There is space to incorporate this. I was travelling with family and a mother who is 88 and she struggled with the steps.

A memorable place to stay with lots to see in the surrounding area then cosy to come home to.

We loved the history of the property. The weather was cold but we were warm and cosy with the log burner (logs included) and the sofas were comfortable. The hosts were very helpful when the dvd player didn’t work and brought a new one in.

One of the beds was quite firm.

Exceptional

We had a fabulous time on our break. The Manor house annex is just gorgeous, kitchen so well equipped, comfortable large lounge, beds exceptionally comfortable..our host Annie couldn't have been more helpful and kind. We visited Wells Cathedral and Shepton Mallet prison and generally walked around where were staying...fab!!

All in all a wonderful location and house to stay in.

The location was just lovely, the outside very rustic but fun. We loved that condiments, some milk and sugar were all there. Also having a washer and dryer was a bonus.

The older bed was a bit creaky.

Very enjoyable stay and the owners were very pleasant and helpful on local info.

The location was within walking distance of the town centre, local pubs and restaurants. Good local walks. Very close to the former Prison which is open to the public and the guided tour is well worth doing.

Wonderful cottage, great location.

It's a lovely cottage, very homely feel. Kitchen has everything you could need. Its close to town and amenities. Close to lots of places to visit. We had a great weekend.

Lovely character property with all the comforts of home - would recommend for a chilled getaway.

The location was good as we wanted to explore Cheddar and go to Wookey Hole. The place is just lovely and is well equipped and has parking right outside the annex. The style of the house is just perfect for the annex of a manor house. We loved the styling. We were pleasantly surprised - the photos don't show how high the ceilings are. It was a lot roomier than we thought it would be. The kitchen is well equipped and the bathroom and ensuite had good hot water. There were fairy lights and a wood burner in the lounge. Each bedroom had a TV. There is a pub just across the road - we will visit it next time! Tesco and Aldi and some independent shops are very close. Annie is great and we felt secure that if we had needed anything she would have been there on hand.

Nothing really - I had to turn down the radiator in my bedroom as it was quite hot but that is just personal preference!

Lovely stay

All that you need really in this property, kitchen was stocked with lots of useful things, plenty of DVDs, activities for children, lovely spacious rooms. Such a quiet little spot. It’s only a short walk to the town centre too which was really useful, especially with a few good takeout/restaurant options there. The adults and children loved it here and we would definitely consider visiting again!

This was a very beautiful quirky old building to stay in. The host provided everything and anything you could possibly need. We were warm and snug 10/10 what a lovely stay
