Kasavucciria Apartments

The apartment is in a fantastic location, just a short 10-minute walk from the train station and within easy walking distance of plenty of restaurants, markets, and nightlife. Although the street is pumping late into the evening, the apartment is very quiet thanks to the double-glazed windows. You cannot hear a thing. Communication with the host was excellent from the start. He contacted us before our arrival to ask what time we’d be getting in so he could meet us at the apartment and check us in personally. He took the time to explain everything, which made us feel very welcome. There’s also a bus stop just around the corner with direct connections to the airport and other areas of Palermo, making it easy to get around without a car. An added bonus was there was a washer and clothes took no time drying on the line out on the balcony. We had a great stay and would happily recommend it if you want to be around a lively part of town with great food choices close by.

The only things that could be improved were the shower and the lift. The shower head bracket was broken, so we had to hold the shower head while showering. The lift was also out of order, which made carrying our suitcases up the narrow stairs a little difficult. This may be challenging for elderly guests or anyone with heavy luggage. The room is also smaller than how it looks in the picture. However, these werent major inconveniences for us.

Great, central location. Close to the Sea and main attractions and the airport bus. Bed was comfy. Shower was warm. The host was very welcoming and met us off of the bus.

The noise from the streets and shops was unbearable at night - we hardly slept! The room was really small and didn't really look like the photos. The kitchen wasn't really "fully equipped". The gas was on the balcony but we didn't manage to get it to work. There didn't seem to be separate recycling facilities and towels were wrapped in plastic. The cleanliness was OK but there were many random items left from previois guests (opened cereal bars and open bottles of water etc). The host was great, but unfortunately the room was too noisy and too small.
