10/10 fantastic cottage, hosts & experience

We had a very warm welcome from Sally & Paul, who us feel right at home and gave us plenty of local recommendations. The cottage is dog friendly and our cavapoo Jet even got her own welcome hamper, which was a lovely touch! We had all the facilities you could need – a fully operational kitchen with essentials like milk, tea, and Welsh cakes (very welcome after our long drive there!), a lovely warm shower with great pressure, and a very comfortable bed. We couldn’t be happier – we even got to see some of the local wildlife (bats!) at dusk. A genuinely enjoyable stay. We would love to come back in the future!

A great stay despite the weather which only made the property more cosy

A fantastic property in a beautiful location. So comfortable and every detail had been carefully thought about, we had a lovely stay and would definitely go back. Hosts could not have been better, so welcoming and keen to recommend places to go and to eat.

A very well located, appointed and equipped property for a restful break away.

The property was in a beautiful setting up in Welsh hills. It was very quiet and most comfortable. Attention to detail by the hosts was second to none and our family dog received a warm welcome with a bag of treats and a special blanket for the sofa! Amazing. The huge double bed was very comfortable and the pure cotton sheets were beautifully cosy. There was a good shower in the en suite and the kitchen was well equipped. We appreciated that the little yard was well fenced in so that our dog couldn’t escape!

Fantastic, comfortable and well equipped bolthole amidst the wild beauty of Ceredigion.

Very spacious and comfortable, especially with 2 dogs in tow for whom it was the perfect setting; fantastic location amidst the Ceredigion countryside, well equipped with some lovely and much appreciated welcoming touches, and very warm welcome and help from lovely hosts! Would definitely recommend, and hope to return soon - thankyou!

Beautiful cottage in a lovely rural location .

Lovely stone cottage , excellent condition , clean , warm and cozy . Hosts were really nice and helpful with knowledge of the local area . Sheep and walks nearby and nice drive to Aber .

ONE OF THE BEST ANYWHERE

Everything was perfect - one could not ask for more but we received MORE in terms of a welcome basket and our hosts came especially to recommend places to visit, restaurants, pubs, cafes etc. We will return. This was/is one of the best and we travel a lot.

Relaxing and Peaceful

The location was great, nice and quiet which is what we wanted. The cottage was clean and very comfortable and the hosts were very friendly and helpful, everything was explained to us very well.

The only let down was the fact that we found the living room very dark and we had to keep the lights on during the day. This was due to the style of the cottage and by no means the fault of the owners.

Perfect getaway

The hosts are lovely. Nothing too much trouble. Lovely welcome. The attention to detail at the property showed a thoughtful conversation of the stables retaining its original character. Beautifully laid out with everything you need for self catering. Immaculately clean and very cosy. We loved the remote location. Perfect for relaxation. Easy travel to local places.

Total peace and quiet in an area of outstanding natural beauty

If you are looking for total peace and quiet - book this gem immediately . We stayed in the hayloft . I cannot speak highly enough of the location . The cottage itself is perfect for 2 . All the amenities needed . Super comfy bed and hot powerful shower. Zero noise or light pollution . A plethora of Red Kites which was beautiful to see. So many areas of outstanding beauty and walks . The hosts Sally and Paul were there to greet us and go through everything . They even left a lovely treat pack for our dog . My only complaint about this place is we had to leave . We will definitely book again - but for longer

Beautiful cottage in the perfect setting.

The cottage was absolutely lovely, spacious, clean and with a comfortable bed, powerful shower and welcome basket. It was also in a beautiful rural setting, ideal for walkers. The owners greeted us upon arrival and went through all the details with us. We would highly recommend this accommodation.

Beautiful cottage sourronded of a stunning landscape

Beautiful and spotless. You can see they have thought all very well, even the smaller details. Very comfortable sofa and bed. The hosts were lovely and they took care of us and our dog. We will be happy to go back there anytime.

We liked it all, however be aware the location is quite remote and the WiFi is not the best. For us was ideal as we wanted to disconnect from the city and work.

Beautiful, comfy, relaxing and wish I'd booked longer!

The hosts Sally and Paul met us on arrival and told us all the relevant information we needed for our stay. They were very helpful in giving advice on to where to go in the area whilst we were there. The cottage was beautiful and very comfortable the shower especially was excellent. It had everything we needed and the little personal touches from milk in the fridge on arrival to flowers on the table and little personalised dog treat bags just finished it off nicely. It was extremely peaceful and relaxing. Plenty of space for the car and an enclosed little garden with beautiful views over the valley.

The only thing I would say is the signage at the bottom of the lane for Tanyresgair cottages is extremely small and easily missed especially if it was dark or you were coming a different direction not off the main road.

Break away in mid wales

Very comfortable bed and super shower. A lovely place to stay to visit the coast and mountains of mid wales. Friendly hosts and so long as you’re happy driving down narrow country lanes, I’d recommend it.

Only small negative is the tv is placed very high up in the wall in the living room and it was not comfortable watching it for very long.

Perfect location, away from the normal hustle and bustle of life. Owners are incredibly welcoming and friendly. The property is lovely and clean with everything you could need for your stay.

The hosts were welcoming and friendly. Location was idyllic and very peaceful. Very good value for money. Easy to find using Google Maps for directions. Not far to drive to Tregaron and Cors Caron. Very dog friendly and understanding about dog's needs with even a safe enclosed yard area outzide the cottage. Ideal getaway. My dog looked sad when we left!

In the middle of the night the TV turned itself on and scared the berjeezus out of me! At first I thought it was the other guests in cottage next door, so took me a while to realise. Other than that, the WIFI didn't work and limited mobile signal. If I stay again, then I'll just make sure I account for that. The place was perfect otherwise, so peaceful, feeling welcome and good value.

Fantastic little cottage owned by a really lovely couple. One of the nicest beds we've slept in. And so quiet.

Nothing we didn't like. It is away from everything, so you have to understand that - it is for peace and countryside. If you want pubs or shops within walking distance or are nervous about driving narrow or steep single track lanes, then maybe look elsewhere

Excellent well thought out accommodation with everything we needed in a beautiful location with a dog safe garden area. Wonderful shower.

Extra signs on the opposite side of the entrance to the driveway from the road would help. We often missed the turn off as we didn’t see the existing one.

Fantastic location, nice and tranquil... the cottage was ideal, spotlessly clean with everything we could ask for to enjoy the stay, the hosts were very welcoming and hospitable, big thanks to Paul for his heads up on where to visit and the best routes to take
