Breathtaking views, helpful hosts, gem of a find. Definitely will be returning. Can't fault it. Best of both worlds: peaceful location that is close to mountains and beaches. What more could you want. We are bikers and recommend it to all.

Nothing

This is a "Marmite" place - some will love it and others need to avoid it - for it is miles up a single track road in the hills above Aberystwyth. At night there is so little light pollution you see the Milky Way. While there are no views from the property, a 3 minute walk changes that - and with your binoculars you will soon see lots of wildlife (including cute baby hares on our visit). If you like that idea then this is great place to stay - but if you want to pop down to the pub or nip out to the shops this will disappoint! Crucially it had a good kitchen with a big fridge freezer sufficient for several days supplies. The local village had a small Spar supermarket that actually had lots in stock despite the cramped shelves so we didn't have to cart lots of food cross-country. The bed was good - as it has a mattress that stops "rolling together" while the total absence of noise other than birds and sheep meant you could sleep with the skylights open and enjoy the air. We loved it - but it's our sort of place and the surrounding countryside is glorious! Even at 11.30 on A July Saturday morning the nearby beach was near-deserted- I've posted the photo to prove it!

If you have come for a holiday "stay" and aren't heading out for much of the day then you won't find a garden to lie in a hammock/lounger to read books all day as the outside area has 2 chairs and a small table on a gravel "patio" and isn't shaded and looks into the car parking area without a countryside view. Equally though there is great countryside around it is fenced fields and so not great for a day doing "nothing"

Absolutely everything, what a beautiful cottage literally in the middle of nowhere, if you want to get away from it all in glorious country side then this is the place. Many thanks to Sally and Paul for getting the cottage ready for us so quickly and what lovely hosts😀

Nothing at all

A compact but oh so well presented cottage . Great detail and finish internally and clean as home .. The cottage was ideal for walking the dog and with its enclosed front garden great for letting them out .. All in all very thought out and excellent accommodation for a short break away from it all .. Paul and Sally keep a superb value for money hide away and facility..

Its a bit hard to find and off the beaten track .. 30 mins to Aberystwyth but no major bother ..
