Located beach front on beautiful Longboat Key, this resort offers all the amenities of a large hotel with the privacy and seclusion that has Silver Sands guests returning each year. Relax on our private beach, walk on our soft white sand, take a dip in our heated beachside pool, or enjoy a complimentary chaise lounge and beach umbrella while breathing in the fresh salt-water air. Practice your golf game on our putting green or relax on our beautiful beach with your favorite novel. Wireless Internet access is available in the privacy of your individual unit, at the garden area or on the pool deck.
Limited Membership Privileges: Guests of Silver Sands Gulf Beach Resort #253S will have temporary membership privileges at Cedars Tennis Resort located at 645 Cedars Court on Longboat Key. The limited temporary membership allows the guest access to fully-lit Har-Tru tennis and pickleball courts (after 1 p.m. daily and subject to availability), community bicycles and Jr. Olympic heated swimming pool. The guest will also have access to the community fitness center.

Celebrated 60th Birthday, and the resort had a wonderful chocolate birthday cake awaiting us in our Frig. Fabulous staff, only hickup was two broken light fixtures and a frying pan that wasn't too great. OTHERWISE, BEDS FABULOUS, VIEW FABULOUS, just perfect!

Facility and location top notch, The unit we stayed in needs some work, bathroom needs refresh and bed needs new mattress. Grounds, pool and beach are the best in the area-quiet and clean! One of the greatest are to view the sunset!

The unit was furnished nicely it was as described on the website other than for management/maintenance deficiencies. There were holes in the walls in both bathrooms where towel bars had been pulled out and the dining room chandelier was missing, just a single light bulb hanging from the cord over the table. The king size bed mattress was so hard I had to sleep on the pillows, it was like sleeping on the floor. I spoke to the on-site office personnel about all of the above, her response was that she thought maintenance had repaired the walls and that she would try to find a foam topper in one of the other rooms for the mattress. We had 2 adults and 4 teens all were accommodated nicely with the beds and sectionals.
