Located beach front on beautiful Longboat Key, this resort offers all the amenities of a large hotel with the privacy and seclusion that has Silver Sands guests returning each year. Relax on our private beach, walk on our soft white sand, take a dip in our heated beachside pool, or enjoy a complimentary chaise lounge and beach umbrella while breathing in the fresh salt-water air. Practice your golf game on our putting green or relax on our beautiful beach with your favorite novel. Wireless Internet access is available in the privacy of your individual unit, at the garden area or on the pool deck.
Limited Membership Privileges: Guests of Silver Sands Gulf Beach Resort #239 will have the option of temporary membership privileges, for a transfer fee, at Cedars Tennis Resort located at 645 Cedars Court on Longboat Key. The limited temporary membership allows the guest access to fully-lit Har-Tru tennis and pickleball courts (after 1 p.m. daily and subject to availability), community bicycles, fishing pier and Jr. Olympic heated swimming pool. The guest will also have access to the community fitness center.
Accommodations: Silver Sands Gulf Beach Resort is a relaxing retreat located directly on the Gulf of Mexico on the northern-end of Longboat Key. Choose from our various unit styles including hotel rooms, one- and two-bedroom garden view units, and one- and two-bedroom beach front units.

The rental property was spacious and quiet and great for our family of four. The Silver Sands has a small Putt Putt course that we enjoyed. They also had beach toys, floats, chairs, and umbrellas available for use on a first-come first served basis. The beach is very quiet with only a handful of other families nearby. We were there in early June and saw a lot of turtle nests. Longboat Key has everything you need but is a bit pricey at Publix so you might want to shop on the mainland and stock up before heading out. We are already thinking of planning a return trip.

A friend and I stayed for a very quick weekend getaway. The location is beautiful, the room was well taken care of, clean, and nicely renovated.
We were down for an engagement party at another house near there and did not check in until later. The staff was very helpful with this process and called with updates and process before we arrived.
I would recommend staying here and will be looking to come back for a longer stay.

We enjoyed ourselves so much that a 2 night stay turned into a 4 night stay. The condo and was exactly as described and as it appears in the photos. Everything was super clean and the location was perfect. We are already planning our next trip and will DEFINITELY stay here again.
