11 The Plosh

Location was brilliant, few minutes walk to town but away from the bustle. The cottage is really quaint with lots of great touches. It was really clean and everything you need for a stay. Brilliant for a long stay for 2, and your dog. Kitchen was very countryfied, bathroom had a roll top bath and brilliant shower. Lounge was good with quaint touches and the addition of the floor above it with t single beds was good, but only if you like steep steps up. The bedroom is great with plenty of space and storage.

Only fault really was that the steps upto the additional bed space. Was a great addition if could get up the steps, I could but my partner and sister, who stayed for a night, would not go up. Everything else was great.

Perfect location. 5 minute walk from Derwentwater and 2 minute walk into town. Walks up Catbells and around the lakeside magical woodlands.

Needs a bin in the kitchen and parts of cooker/hob /oven not working

Central location in Keswick with views of Skiddaw from the lounge window.

The lighting was a bit dark making it difficult to read a book. This is not suitable for anyone with mobility issues as the door enters into the level with the bathroom and kitchen on it but then there are 2 sets of stairs up to the lounge and bedroom meaning each trip to the loo was up and down stairs. We were fine as we are fit and able. There is another single bedroom down 2 flights at garden level. A further 2 single beds are on a mezzanine level above the lounge with a steep staircase only suitable for very fit people.
