Amberlea Guest House

The optional breakfast at £12 had a lot of choices and was excellent value . There was adequate parking and thus I di not have to pay for parking off site. The bed was very comfortable and with the bedroom at the rear of the house it was very quiet. Further that side does not get the sun except very early in the morning so the room remained at a reasonable temperature despite the very high temperature during the day. There was a cheap public EV charger (35p/kW) in the car park 40m away and it was possible to charge without a parking fee after 2100

The shower did not have much pressure so it took some time to rinse shampoo and shower gel off. The on site EV charger cost was high (70p/kW)

Lovely clean guest house and the owner was very approachable and kind. Allowing us to park up early and leave the car in the morning a few hours before we left. Overall really good experience

As we booked with booking.com we had to pay separately for breakfast. The fried breakfast was worth the extra £10 per day,

Paying extra for breakfast because we booked B&B through booking.com, NOT being able to use web site, paid extra for large double room and got a small room and 3/4 size bed because we did not book direct
