LovelyStay - Luxury Oasis in Bairro Alto

Perfect location, spacious apartment, the lift is beneficial after walking uphill and stairs all day, the apartment is on a quiet street, easy to find, within walking distance of the metro. Tea/coffee, olive oil sachets were appreciated.

Some of the appliances were technical and could have done with instructions. Only one laundry capsule and dishwasher tablet were left for our stay.

Spacious and bright with a lot of windows. Nice view. New elevator to 3rd floor easy access. Very clean. Cool neighborhood and the bar/party scene enough blocks away not to be noisy at night.

Hosts very responsive to a number of aggravating issues, but but some problems went unresolved. This was a nine night stay, and only one washing machine detergent pod and one dishwasher detergent pod was provided. They brought 2 more 36 hours later. (I bought more on my own.) Only 4 bath towels for 3 people provided initially. 4 more were brought 36 hours later upon request, Washer/Dryer though new, did not work properly. They sent repair man next day who provided a video to me with a hack to get it to work. Shower in primary bath has an impossible diverter control button that needs to pull out to divert water to power handheld requiring turning off the shower, drying the button and using a towel to get a better grip to pull it out to get the handheld to work. Frustrating when you are wet and chilly. Second bathroom does not have a shower, but only a handheld and an ineffective 1/2 glass partition. Water spray will go all over the floor no matter how careful you are. We requested a mop head (missing from unit) for the mop handle that was there. They brought the mop head over, guy left and we discovered it was wrong kind for the handle and did not connect. We gave up. Extra toilet paper and paper towels wer purchased by us. Only one small dishtowel was provided. Finally, the Nespresso machine did not work. They brought over another one next day. It was a used one, and it did not work either. We gave up on this. We are from US, and Airbnb's are usually well stocked with plenty of towels and supplies and all appliances working properly. Want to reiterate that the host management company was very responsive, and nice, and communicative through their texting portal. I just think that more attention needs to be paid to the unit to make sure everything is tiptop before a renter comes in. It's kind of aggravating when you're on vacation to have to keep asking for things that should already be there.

Although they looked good the seating was not very comfortable. Some instruction manuals for the heating would have been helpful.

Great location near restaurants and walkable to most sights of interest

The keypad did not work well upon arrival and took multiple try’s to open the door. When we notified Lovely Stay we did not hear back from them. It happened again in the evening so they finally responded and opened the door remotely. The next day someone came to replace the battery. Also, the hall shower leaked and the shower nozzle was not affixed to the wall so one had to hold it while showering. Only one set of towels for the entire stay. One rug had heavy stains and the dining table leg was wobbly. The shade on one window did not roll down
