Fairytale Elafonisi

Such a Beautiful property set in a peaceful small mountain town. Excellent welcoming host! Loved the pattio and as special touch there is a lemontree 🫶 Its a short enough drive from elafonisi beach too As hint for others the place is not exact on maps it took me up a dead end just follow the main path (right if you cross a bridge) and the building is there with parking signaged and the building is too.

Minor change as i did love or but the maisonette we stayed in Id prefer the single bed to be downstairs with the waredrobe upstairs (should be possible in the space)

Beautiful traditional stone house in a small charming mountain village, nicely appointed with authentic furnishings. The apartment was very comfortable and the people who own and manage the place were warm, friendly and tremendously helpful in telling us about the village and local beaches, places to eat and places to buy locally made/grown products. They gave us cake made by their mother in law when we arrived (so delicious!) and breakfast included honey from their father in law and tomatoes from their farm. A lovely place to stay if you want to get away from the tourists and stay in a place that is authentic, beautiful, gracious, and unspoiled. We will definitely come back!

Beautifully remodeled old Cretan house into modern standards. Without losing its character. Loved the lemon trees on the porch! And the hosts were lovely, bringing cake and figs and beer. So homely!

It was my bad luck when a huge Italian family with kids came late at night and settled down at the shared porch - so it felt a bit overwhelming and uncomfortable to sit alone outside to read a book. And I’d love a night lamp at the bed!

Loved the location hidden in the beautiful mountains, very peaceful place, away from the most touristic areas, yet short drive to Elafonisi and other nice beaches nearby, recommended by our host Eleni (who gave us great tips about places to visit, where to eat, etc.). The place was very clean and comfortable, we stayed for 3 nights and we regret that we didn't have more time. The village is very small, but in the next villages there are grocery stores and good tavernas, just few minutes drive.

Google maps can get a bit confused in the mountains, trying to get you into dirt roads or not knowing the new roads being constructed in the mountains. Just follow the main road and you will be fine.
