Ante and Lucy provided some of the best support prior and during our stay that we have ever recieved. They were incredibly responsive to questions concerning their location and the best options for visiting Plitvice National Park. We traveled by bus from Split and they had clear instructions for how to get a taxi from the Park entrance1 bus stop to the Plitvica River House. With a park tickets purchased online prior to arrival we were able to take advantage of using Park Entrance 3 which is a simple 10 minute walk from the River House. This allowed us to avoid the crowds from the large tourist buses and have a much more enjoyable experience. Ante prepared wonderful meals for us and even had the option to purchase lunches to enjoy while hiking the park. The Plitvica River house team did everything possible to ensure we had a relaxing stress-free stay.

Slept wonderful, food and amenities great, especially the meals! I would recommend at least one dinner. Beautiful property close to an entrance to the park. Lucy provided wonderful directions for a 6 hour walk through the park. Overall, ten plus!

plitvicariverhouse is a lovely home away from home run by the fabulous Ante & Lucy and their staff who welcomed us as if we were family!
Rooms are large comfortable and warm.
The breakfast is substantial many options, fruit, meat and cheese, eggs to prder, homemade jams and spreads. The dinner is delicious and needs a pre order. Drinks available are a great mix of premium international brands and special homemade grappa.
But all of that is just the icing on the cake which is how excellent the location is to explore layers of natural beauty. The property is just a 10 min walk to entrance C of Plitvica national park very convenient we explored route H.
for it's location the reality was so much better unbelievable beauty to sit by the charming water wheel and take it the bubbling brook and little streams, spot birds in the rushes accidentally scare a hare.
And cool our wine and beer in the icy water as we sit sip and take it all in.
Rest reading relaxation is the main activity
Highly recommend staying here to explore the park. If you don't have your own car reach out to Ivan from Eagle Taxi.
No dining or grocery close by so come prepared.
