Country house Plitvice

We stayed at Country house Plitvice for two nights. If you love nature and animals, you will definitely enjoy this peacefull place. The owner however, is what set this place apart by making it both an enjoyable and relaxed stay. He was waiting for us to hand over the keys in person and answer questions. He told us everything about the Plitvice lakes, the best routes and entry points (10 minute walk from the location) and gave us tips about restaurants, places to visit, and everything else you need. We learned a lot about life in Croatia and about the region. Regarding the place itself, everything looked just like the photo's and it was very clean. I would definitely recommend this place, especially if you want to head over to the Plitvice Lakes National Park.

The only thing I can think of is that it would have been nice to have a kitchen at the accomodation. Although I have been informed by the owner that this is something he is working on. So it might be added in the near future.

Upon arrival, the host (Bosko) immediatley helped me make sure my motorcycle was stable and parked safely. He then showed me the room, which was nice and roomy, clean and had a good climate inside. Electrical sockets near the bed so you can charge your phone. We then sat together with a few of the other guests and shared drinks. Next day the host made a nice breakfast and gave me tips on how to get the most out of the park. The stay is walking distance from the park. Ideal location if you ask me. Would definitely recommend

Bosco, the owner, was extremely helpful and friendly. The location is absolutely beautiful and the accomodation was comfortable, quiet and clean. Without of car it's a bit of a challenge getting from the bus drop off to the accommodation. And it's about a 20 minute hike to the entrance of the park, so if you're not up for long walks then a car is recommended. The nearby restaurant is delicious but a little expensive, as might be expected for a touristy area near a National Park. Bosco did help me with a ride to the bus station the morning I left and was willing to pick up supplies from the store. With some advanced communication he would probably arrange for a ride from the bus stop. Highly recommended. Plitvice Lakes is one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen in my life.

As already mentioned, transportation without a car in the area is a challenge, but I don't mind the hikes in a beautiful place.

Fantastic location 10 mins walk from one of the park entrances. The owner greeted us with some rakia and made sure we had everything we needed. We also loved the dog and cats
