Perfect

The apartment was perfect. So clean and had everything you would need. Good location, not far from the beach and also the old town and harbour. We had a wonderful 2 week stay here. Mary was excellent with communication from when we first booked last year. She kept in constant touch and I knew that if there was anything we needed she would be on hand. She is a wonderful host and lovely lady. We would definitely love to return again in the future.

A Perfect Stay in Chania with the Sweetest Host

From the moment I arrived, I knew I had found something special. The location couldn’t have been better — everything was right where I needed it. The apartment was not only beautiful but felt instantly like home, thanks to how spotless and welcoming it was. That’s all down to Mary, who is truly a sweetheart. She looked after the place with such care and went out of her way to make sure I had everything I needed. It’s rare to find both a perfect apartment and such a kind host — I couldn’t recommend it more! I will be returning next summer! And I can't wait!

There was truly nothing I didn’t like — everything was perfect from start to finish. Saying goodbye to Mary was the hardest part. She went above and beyond in every way, even video calling me to make sure I got home safely. That kind of kindness stays with you — she is such a beautiful person inside and out. I left with a full heart and already look forward to staying with her again next summer.

Homely and comfortable stay in the perfect location.

Everything was perfect. The property was a 10 minute walk to the beach (Nea Chora), a 15 minute walk to the old town/ harbour and a 15 minute walk to the bus stations. Our apartment was very clean and spacious, our host was so kind and caring, Mary answered all my messages and questions and was extremely hospitable. We had a big balcony and the bed and the sofa were very comfortable. I can’t recommend this enough!

Comfortable, central and very clean!

The location is excellent, only a 5 minute walk to the centre and then also the beach. The apartment is comfortable and clean. The balcony is a good size also. The toiletries provided were beautiful. And we appreciated the biscuits and Raki. Thank you Mary! It was also easy to locate, the entrance to the property is at the back of the building, follow the sign.

Best in Chania

Overall amazing stay! If I ever go back to Chania I would only want to stay here. First of all the apartment was sparkling clean. The host Mary greeted us and was so nice! We had everything we need to cook and do laundry which was such a luxury! Also the place is very conveniently located. Close to the old port, close to grocery stores and bakeries and parking wasn't hard to find in the little streets behind the building. Thank you for the beautiful stay Mary!

Perfect apartment for Chania stay

Our stay was absolutely unbeatable and couldn’t recommend it more. Mary’s apartment was in an excellent location just minutes walk from the beach and nearby port and restaurants. The apartment was immaculately clean and went above and beyond the norm having all the little extras that just made the stay absolutely perfect. The apartment itself was lovely, very safe and quite at nighttime. The facilities were all excellent. Mary was an amazing host and regularly cleaned the apartment during our stay also. Mary was extremely responsive and so kind and helpful, nothing was a problem be it arranging taxis to luggage storage. She provided clear information and was very easy to deal with. Would definitely stay here again and will highly recommend to all friends. Thank you so much Mary!

Lovely apartment in a perfect location

Very good location, quiet, clean and comfortable apartment.

We had a parking incident. Out host told us that we can park next to the building if we cannot find an empty spot by the road. We did once, and apparently those parking spots were private and the owner threatened to call the police. In general parking close to the apartment is almost impossible late at night.

The place was very clean and had everything we needed. The bedroom was dark and the bed was comfortable. The balcony was spacious and had sun protection.

The balcony door could latch from outside to allow you to close the door while sitting outside.

Lovely host Mary, very helpful. We had a great communication. She replied instantly to all my messages. Easy check in. Amazing location, close to the beach and the old town. The apartment is extremely clean, spotless! It’s the first thing my mom noticed. It has two air conditioners (which was a life saver for me). Comfiest bed (in the bedroom) and pillows I’ve ever slept on! Great value for money

A bit noisy during the night, maybe because I stayed over the weekend. Bring some ear plugs if you’re a light sleeper like me and you’ll sleep like a baby

The landlord lady was very kind, she even prepared the place earlier after I told her that we would arrive before the check-in hour. The apartment has everything that you will need. It was clean and the location of the place was perfect. It's quiet and it's on 15 minutes by foot from the city center.

The bathroom has a missing shower hanger, and it was a little challenging to use it upright.

The apartment was in a perfect location, not far from the city centre, we could walk to the old port, and to the restaurants, bars, but also it was easy to find a place to park our car. The place was clean, beautifully decorated. Everything was perfect. Highly recommended!

Wonderful Host, Spotless Clean Central Apartment

Mary is one of the nicest host I ever had, she is cheerful, nice and helpful, before my arrival she was instantly replying to my queries , once arrival she welcomed us at late hour baked for us some nice homemade Crete cookies, in addition when I asked her about things around and that I need a restaurant to have dinner on that night as I was hungry she took us in her car and showed us around the neighbourhood then drove us to a very nice restaurant by the sea to have dinner. She was also responsive to all my requests from extra towels to soap, she got all what we need on time and left it at the door of the apartment whenever I messaged her. On the last day my suitcase broke, and I did have the time to buy another when she came early in the morning to help me to fix it so that I can fly on time. She is an exceptional kind Greek lady and a wonderful Host. The apartment itself was extremely clean spotless, the bathroom is modern, soap and shower jell is of a very high-end nice brand called ABEA, the towels are nice fluffy and clean. The kitchen is very well equipped . The bedroom bed is comfortable and big closet allow you to put all your stuff in , in addition to the ironing board and hair dryer that was life saver. The living is nice with a nice balcony , a great comfortable sofa bed so the size is ideal for 3 people. For location it is excellent 15 minutes from Chania old town, 7 min from a nice beach . Everything was more than perfect and we will be certainly coming back. There are bakery shops, fruit shops and supermarket all 1 minute walk from the apartment so everything you need is just there

Nothing really the apartment itself is perfect. The only thing could be that parking around the apartment is a bit challenging, so you take some time to find a nearby spot or park a little further and walk but that is not a real issue.

Mary's suite is a wonderful place to spend several days or several weeks in Hania. Her apartment is immaculately spotless, the apartment is roomy for 2 with a separate bedroom and a fully functioning kitchen, well located about 10 minutes walk to town. The apartment is well furnished, turn key ready for home cooking and very well appointed with all the small details. There is a bakery, coffee shop, and a fish monger nearby for fresh seafood. There are great restaurants 5-10 minutes away. It is comfortable for long stay given so comfortable and quiet as the bedroom faces a back alley away from the street. Mary is an amazing host, all the more because of the care she puts into the place and her wonderful warmth with very little English. I would come back to stay with her again.

I believe Cretan homes use solar water heater, plenty hot for evening baths/showers but tepid for morning ones, just be aware.

Absolutely the best place to stay in Crete!

Absolutely loved the apartment. Mary left complimentary Raki and the cookies. Kitchen has all the facilities including tea and coffee, oven, kettle and all the dishes and glasses. The location is superb! 10min walk from old town, 5 min walk from the beach, 10 min to the bus station (very convenient if you take morning bus to Samaria George). Cleaned ironed sheets, very comfortable bed and the pillows. there are two air conditioners. Plenty of shops and bakeries around, we had our breakfast on the terrace! highly recommend. if we are back in Crete will book this place again
