Missionshuset Bed & Breakfast

The charm of this amazing little bed and breakfast just can't be conveyed in words - it is the epitome of Swedish style, calm, practical, relaxed and efficient. Everything adds to the experience. The breakfast has a great range of fresh food and locally baked breads. The waffles are cooked by you so they can be fresh and hot. There is whipped fresh cream, a selection of local jams, maple syrup, and Nutella to top them off. The location is perfect, just far enough away from the harbour to be peaceful and close enough that it is still on your doorstep. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The rooms comfortable. The garden is perfect for a restful afternoon and you can take your meals and snacks out there if you like Al fresco dining. All day tea and coffee is just part of the homely atmosphere.

Shared bathroom facilities are a small price to pay for the beauty of this tranquil sanctuary. With three toilets and two showers, you need never wait. If you are lucky enough to find a vacancy, the cottage in the garden has it's own private bathroom.

We paid over 1500 SEK for one night in what was essentially a tiny garden shed. It was lacking in basic amenities like a kettle to make tea or coffee, soap in the shower or a hair dryer. The gardens were overgrown and unkempt.
