Amazing, homely and great hosts

Lovely clean and spacious. The owners picked us up from the airport for €30 and took us to pick up our snow suits. Sauna is amazing, beds are comfy and brilliant stocked kitchen. Back garden is great for spotting the northern lights. Location is also great, close to attractions and shops. Uber found the location easily.

Amazing property with sauna and lots of space for everyone, beautifully decorated for Christmas seas

We were collected from the airport by the owners who provided several pick ups and stored the heavy bags for us so we didn't have to carry them during our 2 day trip. This was invaluable and the communication was excellent. Very nice people who did their best to help us during our trip.

beautiful stay

The property is located over a frozen river which looks amazing. It is clean and very cosy. The kitchen is equipped with everything that you would require for cooking. The host even had a welcome bottle of Champagne and chocolates waiting for us which was a really nice touch . The couple taking care of the house were lovely. Thoe hot tub in winter is amazing.

The mattress on the bed downstairs needs a change. It was overused.

Perfect for group of friends and families

We were a group of 7 and a little dog. The house is spacious, fitted to accommodate at least two families (which was our case) in a way that everybody can have its own space and interact with each other at the same time. The big bonus for us was the sauna, great way to relax in the evening. The kitchen well equipped, no need to bring your coffee and tee, previous guests left leftovers of their coffee, tee and even pasta. Unfortunately, we were not lucky with the weather and could not see the Aurora but the house is away from the city and if there would have been an opening in the sky it would have been possible to enjoy the Nordic lights from the house. The host (and her daughter) were also very helpful with ideas about available activities in the area. We highly recommend the place and we would come back.

Nice house in the outskirts of Rovaniemi. There is nothing special around it, just other cottages, but if you have a car then it is easy to get to any other location in Rovaniemi. Inside is a sauna, nice fireplace and a cool hall.

The general heating is via air-to-air heat pump, so it was always on in winter. You can also make fire in the fireplace.

Great house with sauna, but don't expect to use the jacuzzi.

Very clean and spacious house with fully equipped kitchen, sauna and great outdoor space. There was plenty of space inside, bedrooms were spacious, and the house was lovely and warm.

There are photos of the jacuzzi in the listing but it was empty (no water) and there was no way to know about its use. We read some reviews once we arrived that said you had to pay extra for it, but it was never given to us as an option and so we had assumed it was included....wrongly. We had arranged an early check in when we booked so we could check in straight from the night train at 8am but when we arrived there was still someone else staying and the owner then said we had to wait until 12 to drop off bags and 4o/c to check in. Had we known from the start we could have planned our day around it.

Perfect accommodation for a large group. has everything tou need.

Very nice property with a lot of space and all the facilities that you would desire and need for your stay. The garden is oriented towards the north so it is a nice place to look at the northern lights. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for accommodation with a big group and that wants to do a lot of outdoor activities.

It is far from the city center and it has a bad bus connection. But if you want a nature trip it doesn’t matter. The hot tub is quite expensive. It is €200 per use and not €200 per stay like stated on their booking page. The email communication with the landlord was also a bit confusing sometimes because they only speak Finish. But it is nothing to worry about.

The property was very comfortable, super clean, and it had everything you would need for a comfortable stay. The hosts were also very accommodating.

The hot tub is a wood fired hot tub, so with the excellent steam room I don’t think the hot tub is necessary.

Excellent week in Rovaniemi

Perfect location in a quiet area close to Rovaniemi town (a few minutes by car) and 10 minutes to Santa Claus Village. Plenty of room for a large family. Very clean and nicely furnished. The kitchen really has everything you need. WIFI is fast and works perfectly. The property exceeded our expectations, we can highly recommend Villa Koivikko and would definitely book again next time. Paula met us at the house for check-in. She is a very friendly and helpful host. Thank you Paula for a wonderful week in your house.

Sehr komfortabel und sauber. Unsere Gruppe von 8 Erwachsenen hat sich äußerst wohl gefühlt. Gastgeber waren stets zu Hilfe, egal um welche Fragen und Wünsche es ging. Man konnte wunderbar in der Umgebung spazieren gehen. Bis Lidl sind es ca 30 Minuten Fußweg. Schöne Sauna und heißer Whirlpool auf der Veranda. 2 WC. Wir sind bestens zufrieden.

Geweldig! We hebben genoten!

Het ruime huis was gezellig en knus. Compleet in kerstsfeer, wij waren hier met de feestdagen. Ruime keuken met werkelijk alles aanwezig inclusief schoonmaakspullen en vaatwasblokjes. Wasmachine en droger met wasmiddel. Het huis was goed verwarmd! Sleetjes aanwezig. 2 parkeerplekken voor het huis. Auto huren wel echt aan te raden. Fijne communicatie met de eigenaren die dichtbij wonen. Tegenover het huis ligt een groot meer wat prachtig was nu het vol sneeuw lag. Het huis staat op een goede locatie, ongeveer 10 minuten rijden van het centrum en een grote supermarkt. Santa Claus Village is makkelijk te bereiken vanaf hier, ongeveer 15 minuten rijden. Rovaniemi heeft een leuk centrum, toen wij er waren was er een kleine schaatsbaan aangelegd voor kinderen. Buiten stonden kraampjes met leuke spullen. Wij hebben hier een geweldige tijd gehad!!

Niet alle matrassen waren even comfortabel voor ons.
