Without air conditioning it was hot to sleep

The location was fantastic, the staff was nice. The room was hot without AC but it's what Paris in August is. It was clean and safe, would definitely stay here again.

Charming boutique hotel, steeped in lots of history, in a superb location, yet quiet setting at the end of a beautiful historical shopping arcade. It is reputed to be the oldest hotel in Paris with plenty of quirky, charming Parisian style about it. Grand Boulevard Metro station is just a few steps away, making travelling around the large city of Paris and all its main attractions an absolute breeze. Staff were professional, welcoming and friendly with the front desk being manned 24 hours. Our ensuite facilities provided a large, modern walk in shower. We also had a room safe and also a large fridge for food and drinks etc. The hotel was spotlessly clean throughout and being set back so far from the main road ensured a very quiet, peaceful setting especially at night. With lots of interesting, unique shops right on your doorstep and lots to explore in the immediate neighbourhood, we were very pleased with our stay and choice of hotel.

Cannot think of anything we didn't like as this hotel ticked all of our boxes of expectation in being a genuinely nice hotel with friendly, helpful, accomodating staff. Some people may be disappointed in not having a hot drinks facility in their personal room. Free hot drinks were on offer and could be easily accessed from near the dining room. Room fans were provided as there was no air conditioning (which is standard for most Parisian hotels). Instead we had large louvered shutter doors which were lockable, so we could leave the french doors back and completely open throughout our stay in July when it was warm and sunny and just bring the shuttered doors over to ventilate the room throughout the day and night.

Good location near bus/metro station and many cafes and restaurants. Staff at reception area is very helpful.

Old room and bed is very small for 3 people. We couldn’t sleep as no air con in the room while temperatures outside was 32 degrees and the fan is too small to blow out the heat made us feel very uncomfortable. Mini fridge in the room is also out of order. Breakfast room is so small and have few choices. Maid at breakfast room was mean to us due to one glass was broken.
