The location of the hotel

1- Received the room after 2 hours from check-in time mentioned the website, checked in at 4 PM and received the room at 6 PM and the front-line staff was not supportive. 2- I was upgraded to interconnected suites to compensate for the delay which had a very good view. However, there were no blackout in the windows which resulted in my kids waking up every day with the sun rise. 3- Rooms are not well maintained as there was dust on the lamps, handles broken, weird AC control etc. 4- Poor room cleaning service. 5- No mirrors in the rooms. 6- Staff are unfriendly.

The best buffer breakfast I've ever seen, a stellar hotel store, truly amazing pool and beach deck and just an amazing looking location all around!

We liked the interior, how room was equipped, wonderful breakfast selection

Smoke in the room just when we checked-in. Stayed at Bab Al Qasr for the 2nd time, but in a residence, which was alright, except upon entrance to the room you could feel the smoke, whether someone was smoking there before or it was brought in via ventilation. We also smelled weed. Staff proposed to bring in refresher which only helped temporarily, the rest of the time we could still smell it.

I recently stayed at Bab Al Qaser with my family for 10 nights. The hotel was not our first choice for this trip. However, we certainly did enjoy our stay. The hotel location is good, we had rented a car because everything was at a driving distance. The staff, however, are what made our experience enjoyable. Everyone was friendly, smiling l, and patient with our kids. Every time we asked for something, it was quickly provided to us by the staff ( be it extra towels, snacks, or a baby high chair). I would like to give a shout out to Shahid, a waited at the artisan restaurant who always out an effort to make sure he says hello to everyone and makes sure everyone got what they need. We stayed in the two bedroom apartment and it was very spacious for a family of 6. Everything in the apartment was very clean and whenever there is an issue that staff were quick to handle it.

The only downside of the hotel is that you can tell that the furniture, bedding, towels, etc, were overly used and consumed. Even though everything was cleaned, we found some holes in the bedding, stains on the apartment's furniture, towels with threads loose, and you can hear sounds in the plumbing of the bathroom. The curtains were the only thing that I could tell was not cleaned because they were very dusty. Every time we opened/closed them, we felt the dust fall on us.

My wife used the Spa and we had an lovely time at the Sushi restaurant, where the staff were excellent.

The hotel looks good from the outside. The buffet restaurant service is decent. The pool isn't bad. As a location, its proximity to the presidential palace is interesting.

The buffet restaurant service was often monotonous, with minimal variations to the prepared dishes. Even the 'theme' nights were disappointing, with little food included. The hotel beach is really very bad; the water is stagnant and turns a greenish color in the afternoon. The spaces are absolutely insufficient, and we often couldn't go to the beach due to a lack of available spots. The same applies to the pool; sometimes we couldn't use it for the same reason. The bed in the room was very uncomfortable.

I recently stayed at Bab Al Qasr Residence Hotel and had a mixed experience. On the positive side, the location is excellent—convenient and scenic, making it easy to enjoy nearby attractions. The staff were courteous and helpful, always attentive to guest needs, which added a pleasant touch to the stay. The amenities offered by the property are also quite good, with a variety of facilities available for both relaxation and convenience.

The price did not reflect the level of service and quality provided. For the rate charged, I expected a higher standard overall. The most disappointing aspect was the condition and maintenance of the rooms—which I found to be well below expectations. Maintenance issues were clearly noticeable and impacted the comfort of the stay. This is something the hotel urgently needs to address to justify its pricing and maintain its reputation.

We had a great time, thank you

We had a lovely experience in this hotel on arrival. Our room was not available so we were upgraded to a deluxe suite which was huge. The hotel itself was extremely clean. Staff were very very friendly. The pool area was very very clean and so was the beach. The beach area had a lot of sun beds under palm trees and parasolwhich is really nice as it gets extremely hot. There was a pool bar and a bar at the beach where you can have food. Down at the beach there are a few water sport activities you can also book. We booked one jet ski for two of us for half an hour and I believe it was about £85. you are in walking distance of the mall which takes probably about 1520 minute walk and a few bars and restaurants along the beach. If you want to go into the main city you will need a taxi but it costs by £6 to do that. The staff were all so helpful, very polite and couldn’t do enough for you. Thank you very much.

I would say, if you’re not all inclusive food and drinks are quite expensive, but we did find a supermarket just across the road.

This is one of our favourite hotels in Abu Dhabi

The room in our deluxe studio apartment was huge, with a good view overlooking the Palace hotel and out to sea. The beach area is good and safe for swimming, and the pool on an elevated podium area is a nice place to relax and be close to the bar.

The front door area gets very crowded with drop-offs and pick-ups due to its small area, but is well-staffed to minimise inconvenience to residents.

Had a brilliant stay at Bab al qasr, friendly and helpful staff, breakfast spoilt for choice and apartment we had spacious and extremely comfortable. This is our second stay at this hotel as last time, partially closed during covid. Great to see it fully open this time.

As we are both asthma sufferers, we had to move a few times in Rose lounge due to smoking but understand that was out of your control. It may ne nice to have a non smoking area?

Amazing hotel but not for a beach experience

Room with 1 bedroom and lounge was very spacious. Good bathroom and kitchen, well equipped with stunning view to the Mandarin and Qasr Palaces. Service was amazing! We had a nice walk all way through the park with the Founder's memorial to the Corniche, very lovely area.

Beach and area around swimming pool at the hotel are extremely small. If you come at 9am, all sunbeds are already occupied. Mums with children had to sit on bar stools to watch their kids in swimming pool because there was nowhere else to stay. Same at the beach, we had to lay on little piece of grass, it was too packed. Sea part is very limited, during tide out water is very shallow, looks like a little puddle, impossible to swim.

house keeping and guest services. the house keeping not helping in throwing food left over on dining area and dish cleaning. apartments need to have more appliances like dish washing machine or at least to provide soap and sponge. garbage pin is too small in the kitchen area. The parking near the residence entrance in B1 reserved for others which makes you park the vehicle either far or going to lower basements.

Overall all staff very polite and always ready to serve you as much as they can.

Cleaning room every day, only upon request, if you do not request they may not come and clean, for instance I requested on the 2nd day evening , and then I had to call housekeeping everyday to clean our room. They don’t do it on an automatic basis as other 5 star hotels.

We stayed in Dubai 4 star residence hotel, and they not only cleaned the room, but also washed the dishes, wiped the dining table and cleaned the room everyday even if you do not press on request button to clean. Bab Al Qasr a 5 star hotel, it would be very appropriate if they clean the room every day without requesting and wash the dishes and wipe the table. I came with my children. Play room for children is very small and very few toys, and it’s outside where the beach. I expected more facilities or at least one inside playroom for children. 1 swimming pool with small part for children.
