Really clean, lots of amenities (stove, oven, fridge freezer, dishwasher), friendly host who was happy to help with everything The terrace with the hot tub is a great addition but definitely not the time of year for it. Rain, fog, -1° 🙈 but I’m sure it is incredible in the warmer months

Our room was cold due to the electric heater not working. Not sure if this was just an issue for us but it wasn’t something we could manually change and we felt the room was freezing at points especially when snowing. The one bathroom had a door leading to the master bedroom so it felt really awkward to use quietly with our other guests sleeping in there. Just a personal issue 🙈

The property was in a great location with lovely views across the valley, especially when relaxing in the hot tub, which was clean, roomy and a lovely temperature. The property was clean and very cosy with the log burner, lovely and warm in the bathroom with plenty of towels, and robes for wearing en route to the hot tub and back.

The lid on the hot tub needs a lifter, as it was a struggle to remove and replace. The kitchen was well equipped, but oven gloves and an oven proof casserole dish with a lid would be helpful.

A wonderful relaxing weekend stay

Hot tub was great. The coach house had everything we wanted from our stay, the log burner was really cosy and the kitchen well equipt to be able to cook meals and have a really cosy weekend.

Amazing views, clean and comfortable

Everything was truly exceptional from start to finish. Communication was excellent - prompt replies before arriving with all relevant info needed, prompt replies to questions when at property and info book was full of great info on where things were near to the location etc. The hit tub is a defo plus item, the view from the private garden area where it is situated was breathtaking at night and in the morning. The property is easy to access with info to use the lock box and padlock for private garden area given on arrival (private garden with hot tub was extra but worth the money) there was everything you would need in the kitchen if wanted to dine in, towels and robes provided for the hot tub/shower if needed. The coach house that we stayed in was decorated lovely, clean and spacious with a very comfy bed. WiFi was provided free and there was a TV in the lounge and bedroom with the lounge having Netflix too 🙂 would highly recommend a stay, will be returning next year 😊👍

Great location, but disappointing accommodation.

Clean. Comfortable bed. Good location.

Bathroom too fancy. Shower difficult to get into, bath far too high to get in without assistance. Living area small and not comfortable. No outlook or view. Not much privacy as overlooked by busy house next door. Barrier to driveway which means every time you drive in or out you have to get out of car to do keypad.

The place was lovely, clean, welcoming and comfortable. The hot tub was fab.

The heating was a little strange but the boats fixed it for us. A little more storage for clothes would have been handy too.

Everything from the facilities, the customer care to the location. We couldn't have asked for anything more. Absolutely perfect little weekend break.

It's petty but unfortunately the fire was undergoing repairs when we arrived so it was out of use. But that is a very minor inconvenience and it didn't affect our weekend. Overall amazing place. Highly recommend a visit here.

We had a lovely stay.

It is a lovely property, with everything you need. The bed was super comfy.

There was a lot of dog hair on the sofa and cushions. The water from the over the bath shower leaked onto the floor.

Everything exceeded expectations.

We had a good 2-night stay at The Stables, Windy Bank Hall. Everything was fine and exceeded our expectations - booking, communication, entry, facilities, comfort, equipment, Wifi, etc. Would certainly stay here again if the opportunity arose and would recommend it to anyone else wanting to explore the Peak District. Windy hill top views

The accommodation is comfortable, and we particularly appreciated the bubbly left for us by the hosts. A good location for seeing hares.

It was windy during our stay and so we decided not to use the hot tub even though we were offered help with the cover. We found the wifi was slower than we would have liked, and some of the TV channels we wanted to watch did not have a good reception.

Wonderful comfortable dog-friendly stay.

Especially well appointed property with great facilities, located in lovely surroundings. Really accommodating hosts, and worthy of note is dog friendly facilities too (dog paddock, dog blankets, space to walk and roam with dogs locally). Highly recommended for a great getaway.

Amazing place to stay, the hosts are lovely, welcoming, friendly and clearly care alot about there guests. Lots of helpful and useful contact information before the stay / easy to book, locate, and ask questions. They went above and beyond for our family and pet. The dog was as well catered for as we was, really thought through accommodation with homely touches and everything you need to stay. Felt relaxed upon arrival and leaving. highly recommend the hot tub !

Superb Stunning rural retreats comfortable homely and very welcoming home from home

A Stunning rural location very safe for a solo traveller set within a small private country hall with barn conversion holiday and short stay accommodation. I picked it as it was very accessible to the M1 to commute into Sheffield and Leeds . It was immaculate and being dog friendly was a huge bonus with my little dog my constant companion when travelling for work . It’s home from home and then some ! Stunning bathroom freestanding bath large shower amazing bedroom , kitchen had everything I ordered a Greek takeaway from a local place and had a lovely breakfast at Samuels kitchen just 2 mins by car . Electric vehicle charger was very convenient as was the super fast WiFi and Netflix was perfect after work with my takeaway. I will continue to book my local stays here as it’s offers unbeatable value compared to other local hotels and b&bs . They even have a hot tub you can book in advance and a Doggy Paddock ! WOW what a find

A lovely place to stay if you are wanting to get away from the hustle and bustle.

The view from the heated spa was lovely, great bathroom and the accommodation was very warm and comfortable. The property was as advertised and the hosts were very welcoming and professional. Quiet rural location which was what we were wanting.

Lovey accomidation fantastic views. Out side area to sit of evening enjoy view. It very very hot at the time of visit. Only downside as it was to hot to in car or take dogs out in heat.a shaded area would have been great.

Fantastic views especially from the hot tub!! Lovely little town Stocksbridge nearby which was extremely useful. Great first holiday with our 6 month old. Very homely feel ☺️

Oven not spotless but didn’t bother us too much. We bought a fan from one of the local shops as was so hot with the weather and not being able to have windows open due to flies/insects etc but once we had that we were happy
