AliKele Hotel & Resort

Our main goal was to visit as many places as possible within three days. We wanted a location that was conveniently situated near Anuradhapura, Sigiriya, Pidurangala, Somawathiya, and Polonnaruwa, while also offering good facilities at a reasonable price. Alikele Resort was the perfect fit for our needs. The staff were very friendly and always willing to accommodate our requests. Their support was extremely helpful when planning our trip. We stayed for two nights, and on the second day, we had to leave very early. Based on our previous experiences with other hotels, we decided to skip breakfast because we assumed it would not be available before the usual serving time. However, when we mentioned this to the staff, they kindly prepared breakfast early and served it before we left. This was a wonderful surprise. Usually, guests are not expected to adjust to hotel schedules, but this was the first time we experienced a hotel adjusting to ours. Apart from that, everything was good for the price. Since our main purpose was to explore the area rather than spend time at the hotel, we were not too concerned about the facilities. However, the facilities were quite good overall, although there is still some room for improvement. The pool was nice, and my child absolutely loved it. The weather was very hot during our stay, but the resort's environment had a relaxing and pleasant vibe. We originally planned to try food from several places in the area. However, the breakfast on the first day changed our minds. The food was really good, and even my child enjoyed it. As a result, we decided to have dinner at the resort as well. We also found that many restaurants outside were quite expensive. Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay. The staff were exceptionally friendly, and the resort offered great value for money. Many resorts in the area seem to focus mainly on foreign tourists, but as a local traveler, I felt very welcome here.

The Dialog TV wasn't working, and the charger was missing, but it didn't bother me much because we don't usually watch TV, even at home. The bathroom showers need some improvement. The AC was good overall, though the swinging feature didn't work. need to improve cleaning. If these small issues can be fixed, I think this room would be great value for the money.

La primera noche las habitaciones tenía un terrible olor a naftalina, lo cual me produjo una un dolor de garganta importante por la mañana, pero me lo solucionaron al día siguiente me cambiaron de habitación
