About this apartment rental

Sugar Beach Condos are walking distance to restaurants, shopping, Gulf Shores festivals, and beach activities. We also have an onsite snack beach bar available. Sugar Beach is an economical, family-oriented Orange Beach condominium complex. One of the areas most popular vacation destinations. We have four pools, a tennis court, covered parking and a large beach!

Our family has been taking care of vacationers to Alabama’s Gulf Coast for over 25 years. Sugar Beach Condos is probably the most family-oriented complex with so many fun amenities!

This unit is Gulf Side, not Gulf Front. You do not have to cross the street to get to the beach. Although you do not have a view of the gulf from your balcony, all you have to do is walk down the hall to the elevator -- down the elevator and you are on the beach!

This Sugar Beach unit sleeps 2 adults & 2 kids. It has a Queen Bed plus a Hide-a-Bed Sofa in a motel-sized room. It has a full kitchen, bathroom & private balcony. This is a great budget-friendly way to enjoy a beach vacation. We, however, do not typically recommend these units for 4 adults or families with older children simply because of the lack of privacy and space.

The location was perfect and the condo was the right size for 2 people. I was concerned about the cleanliness of the condo. It could’ve been much better. The floors and ceiling fan were in bad shape. Overall, the condo needed a good deep clean. We cleaned it up some ourselves.The other thing was there were no bath towels or kitchen towels provided. We had flown in and it was not fiesable for us to bring towels. So we had to buy some then leave them. Don himself was a great guy, very friendly.

We got locked out of our room at 1030pm another guest happened to be staying in another room owned by this host and she called him. This man got up with out question and started to head our way. The room was nice it is as it says and shows in the description and photos

My husband and I got to come stay 2 nights for our anniversary and Mr. Don let my girls come stay the last night. We had the best time and Mr. Don checked on us throughout the vacation. We made so many friends at the heated pool each day. That toddler pool was amazing. It was fenced in and had 2 gazebos. Stress free swim time for this mama. My 2 year old just walked around and splashed in the kiddie pool for hours at a time. I didn’t have to worry about her running to the big pools or gulf since it was fenced in. Lots of shade, we also ate dinner at the sugar shack! I’m ready to go back! Hopefully soon!

This was a last minute trip that and Mr Don was absolutely amazing and very helpful. I had zero issues with our accommodations and the Condo is right in the middle of everything. Loved being able to walk right to the beach and my son loved the pools.

The area we stayed in was absolutely beautiful it is one of my favorite places to go, so when we stayed here it really put a damper on things. When we first walked in I was beyond excited to finally arrive after a 12 hour drive. That feeling went away in a matter of seconds as I was setting my bags down I noticed not only one, but 2 pairs of dirty men's underwear laying right at the end of the bed in plain sight. My husband found something to pick them up with, and dropped them in the trash We ripped the covers off the bed to put them in the laundry because we noticed they were full of stains as well. As we were doing that is when I found a 1/2 drank water bottle sitting on the floor next to the bed with a can of oysters that were opened and eaten next to the water bottle. I really wasn't prepared to completely clean, and disinfect our room we just paid for that had a charge for cleaning to begin with, but after we finally finished that is when we noticed the rest. The shower was black in the bottom from mildew which was expected after seeing everything else, but when in the bathroom you could hear water running through the wall, but we assumed it was just the pipes from the neighboring condo. My allergies will tell you difference because I would feel completely fine when out enjoying the beautiful town, but as soon as I would get back to the room I would be feeling terrible. It took a couple days to find because we weren't using very many things in the room considering how filthy it was, but I opened a cabinet in the kitchen and realized the entire bottom shelf was full of mold and water from whatever we were hearing through the walls. It's not like they didn't notice, and it's just something that happened. They had shelf liner paper just put on top of it, and a pitcher collecting the water. We loved the area but definitely would not recommend this place to anyone!! I also forgot to add that when you're booking this place it doesn't tell you anything until after it is paid for, and he sends you a confirmation that it is not furnished with any toiletries, towels, trash bags, or soap. You need to bring everything with you so packing light definitely was not an option when we had to bring extra beach towels, bath towels, kitchen towels, wash cloths, dishes soap etc.
