About this house rental
Only 90 minutes from Chicago, but feels like you're a world away. This lovely home is on a quiet, tree-lined street has everything you'll need for a wonderful vacation get-away. Located less than a 10 minute walk to the heart of New Buffalo, you will find a library, many shops, restaurants, bars/breweries, a grocery and liquor store, marina, and amazing sunsets at the public beach. You can even leave your car at home, as the Amtrak stop is less than a 10 minute walk.
The home has a great layout that allows you to spread out over 3 floors.
The 1st floor has a great room/kitchen/dining room with granite counter tops, vaulted ceilings, skylight, island in kitchen, Brazilian cherry floors, gas fireplace, screened-in front porch. It has a 1st floor master bedroom with a king bed, sitting room and screened-in porch, a bathroom with a walk-in shower.
The 2nd floor has a bedroom with a skylight, queen bed and a huge walk-in closet (with a Pack N Play if needed), a bathroom with walk-in shower, a library and a small loft for additional sleep (or play) space.
The finished lower level has a bedroom with a full size and a twin bed, attached bathroom with a jacuzzi tub, tv room with wet bar, gas fireplace, mini pool/ping pong/air hockey game, an elliptical and sleeping space for 3 additional people on the roomy L-shaped couch and a pull-out couch.
There is a washer/dryer in the laundry room. The attached garage has lawn chairs, cruiser bikes, various beach gear, a wagon and a gas grill. There is an outdoor shower on the back patio to use after the beach, Adirondack chairs, an umbrella, table and chairs, as well as a hammock and a fire pit. There is a heated swimming pool located 3 doors down which is strictly for use by the neighborhood.
We are a pet friendly home, so if you have allergies to pet dander, this may not be the best choice for you.

I came with a group of women and we enjoyed the house very much. It was clean and nicely located near town. We enjoyed the neighborhood pool, which was just down on the corner and the fire pit in the back yard. Communication with the owner was very good. I would recommend staying here.
