Pousada Richard Rothe is deceivingly beautiful in the perfect location to explore Tiradentes and Sao Joao Del Rei. We were in room 4 that had a queen size bed and private bath. Both done up wonderfully and comfortably. The courtyard is quaint and charming. Breakfast is perfect with staff that complimented the food – wish I could remember their names as they were very nice making eggs to order and allowing us to grab coffee before they were quite ready for guests. The front desk is also very helpful but want to give a shout-out to the ladies making and serving breakfast. Another plus, if you are lucky as we were, there are a few Toucans in the area who like to hang out in the trees at the Pousada - they are beautiful! Overall I would definitely recommend you book a room at Pousada Richard Rothe while in the area.
The only thing I believe worth mentioning is that if you are in the main house which we were, there are only stairs, no elevator. This was not a problem for us but wanted to make you aware.
