Seminarhaus S1516 was beyond my expectations. The owner waited for me to arrive and check in before the check in time. The room was clean and comfortable. The location was perfect. I will definitely book a room there when I travel to Berlin again.

Super central, modern, quiet and clean rooms a few minutes from the M10 tram line and Bernauer Strasse U-Bahn. The location is amazing close to everything in Prenzlauer Berg and across the road from the Mauer Park. The shower and toilet are separate rooms, which i liked for privacy and plenty of space to hang your things. The kitchenette has a fridge, sink, free tea, coffee and creamer and lots of plates and cutlery. But there are sadly no cooking facilities or microwave to heat up food. I liked that its a small place so not too many guests and it was very quiet. Its a new building so there is a lift also if you have heavy luggage. Would definitely stay again.
Needs a microwave in the kitchen.

Very basic but modern, clean, tasteful lodging with shared bathroom/showers and kitchen. Perfect for longer stays. No families/children.
Automatic lighting on stairways at night was very slow to turn on. Would be best when 2 people staying to offer 2 keys, 2 blankets etc.

Great location, near the former french area of west Germany. There is a whole memorial near the Bernauer Strasse and a segment of the wall. Also near restaurants and the U-bahn station.
Good insulation, did not feel the cold temperature from outside. Good soundproofing as well.
There was no room service at all, even though I had a single room (not hostel shared). No soap nor shampoo provided.
The common areas were cleaned once a week, so paper towels ran out in the bathrooms.
One of the showers was not functioning properly, water came out in all directions.
The balcony is shared and goes against the room privacy.
The light sensors were not working properly, and would be in the kitchen, shower or bathroom in the dark sometimes.
The kitchen could have at least a microwave to warm meals and overall food.
