Perfect stay in a beautiful and clean place, highly recommended.

Everything was perfect. The room was beautiful, very clean, and well maintained. The atmosphere was welcoming, and the host was extremely kind and hospitable, making us feel comfortable from the moment we arrived.

A little Gem in a great location.

The property is well placed and near many of the sights there are also buses nearby and metro stop some 10min walk away. The place was clean and the owner and other staff were nice, also very quiet aside from the street noise from time to time but thats just how it is. I'd happily stay again if coming to the city, place had everything I needed and more cozy and chill than a chain hotel for sure.

Other than the shower and bed, we enjoyed our stay. It was was an excellent location.

The location was excellent. The building was excellent. We liked the room a lot. The host was very good and included breakfast one day with our rate.

Didn'l like the bed. It was small for 2 people. The bathroom was a dissappointment. The shower doors did not work well and did they did not close properly. In addition, the drain was slow and the water accumulated in the shower pan and spilled to the floor. A real fall risk.

Great place to stay in Valencia

The place is very well located. It was not very easy to find at first, we had to ask a passer-by, but it is right in the city center and easy to get everywhere. Room is pretty, with a lot of nice touches. It just makes you to rest! Amazing! The owner is also extremely friendly.

Our second stay here and it was just as delightful this trip. Rooms are beautiful, so clean and cool. The location of this establishment is so central - ideal for sightseeing, dining out, shopping etc.

Exceptional interior design, very clean, a beautiful stay!

Beautiful interior design. Very clean. The decor throughout is stunning and something else! Feels like a beautiful home away from home. Classic English vibes mixed with Spanish history. The wallpaper in the bigger room is a dream :) Everything has been thought of including little boxes for the different rooms in the fridge where guests can store their food. Very clever!

There is no one at reception for check-in in the afternoon and evening. They sent me several emails about my check in time which stressed me slightly as I am a last min kind of traveler and like flexibility. Could not find an ironing board but I am sure Africa (the owner/manager) would provide one if needed. However, I needed to head out on the night of arrival and did not have any crinkle free clothes. Because there was no one at reception, I could not iron my clothes. No coffee in the rooms. I like to have a coffee before I meet any people in the morning :) Extended my stay but was not told the rate with them. I would have liked to know as I could have made another booking on booking.com knowing the rate and I could have booked a bigger room with a desk which I needed.

Everything is perfect

We loved everything, the location was perfect for the cathedral and market, only a few minutes walk away. There's loads of options for food on the doorstep. The building is beautiful and our room was grand and quaint at the same time. The bathroom and shower was fabulous, overall the room was gorgeous and very comfortable. The hosts were delightfully friendly and informative. We've had a lovely stay and intend to come back.

Cute room, awful hospitality.

The room was very quaint and well kept. However, when we got in there were dirty glasses from the previous tenant and when the staff came to service the room on our second day, they turned off the A/C which we explicitly left on so we could return to a cool room after walking in hot weather for most of the day.

The hospitality at the hotel is awful. The hours of the front desk are so minimal that it makes it nearly impossible for a traveler to get in contact with them during the stay including for checkin and to complete payment for the stay on time. Getting responses from the hotel via email are also challenging especially when traveling internationally with minimal cell and data coverage.

Amazing apartment in superb location

This is a gem of a place. We stayed in the gorgeous apartment on the 4th floor. It was spacious and beautifully decorated. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The location is exceptional. We had a fantastic stay.

Our stay at L'Esplai could not have been better!

Our stay at L'Esplai could not have been better! Our apartment was spacious, decorated beautifully, and immaculate, which was wonderful for our four-night stay. The location was fantastic, being less than a five minute walk from Plaza de la Reina and the Cathedral, and all of the sights were an easy walk away. And (this may sound crazy!) the building has an elevator, something very welcoming to mid-70s travelers lugging their bags through Europe! Africa, the host, serves absolute delicious breakfasts and is a wealth of information about Valencia. This B&B is a winner!

Wonderful stay !!!

Everything!!! I can't say the accommodation was comfortable... Because this is not an accommodation but your Spanish home when you are away from home. The room is beautiful, decorated with love and wonderful details. Immaculately clean. The bed is fantastic to sleep on. The location is phenomenal!!! The crown of all this are the people who are your hosts here, Africa and Sergio. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything and see you again for sure ♥️

Lovely stay at L’Esplai!

We had an exceptional stay at L’Esplai Valencia. Beautifully decorated and appointed rooms, lobby and breakfast area, impeccably clean, quiet rooms, comfy bed and linens. Lovely welcoming hosts. Perfect location, adjacent to Plaza de la Reina, Cathedral, Plaza del Ayuntamiento, within walking distance of everything. I highly recommend L’Esplai.

The most fantastic stay at L’esplai! Would recommend to everyone

We loved absolutely everything about our stay at l’esplai! The location was amazing, so central and close to everything you could need in the city (but also quiet!)- also very well located with buses and bike stations. The room was perfectly clean and the AC worked great to keep us cool in the height of summer. in addition, Africa was so hospitable and helpful giving us details and recommendations about the city. All round our stay was perfect and would recommend to anyone going to Valencia!

an unexpected superb experience

Spotless clean, efficient check-in/out Safe neighbourhood Located in the heart of the old town but you won’t be bothered by noises in midnight. It’s my first time in Valencia and it’s quite humid for me. Thanks to the AC, I could sleep well and was able to dry my towels overnight The B & B kept the original ceiling height and solid wood front door while upgrades the interior with an authentic modern design Though the balcony in the twin-bed room could not fit chairs, I enjoyed standing on the balcony first thing in the morning to do some people watching there are cafes and restaurants (too many options) and it’s only a 5-minute walk to the central market Africa, the host, was super considerate and helpful. Definitely will book this property again for my future visit

Location was good . Africa was very nice person room was clean .

Arrangrement for shower wasn´t ideal water was leaking from shower to whole bathroom area . Close to front door of apartment was 5 big city garbage container and every night 12-1 am and early morning was garbage collection and it was really noisy.
