Lovely home with clearly a lot of thought from the hosts into providing everything guests may need.
Although well equipped, the house looked a bit tired.
In terms of cleanliness, the house would benefit from slightly more attention to detail, as there was staining on cushion covers (living room) and mould present in bathroom.

Location perfect. Just the right size accommodation for our group.
Two problems - the front door stuck so it was almost impossible to pull open from the inside. We thought we were imprisoned.
Serious problem was that towels were not provided. This was not made clear on either the Booking.com or the Sykes Cottages sites. Generally we expect towels to be provided on Booking.com properties. As it was, we had to go out and buy 5 new towels from Tescos at 7 pm. Lucky it was close by and still open! Not a great start to our stay.
