Sea Breeze 17 Gannel

This property is perfect size for a week away for 5 adults. Plenty of space, plenty of seating, great temperature and a good number of bedrooms & bathrooms. It is located in a lovely area, very quiet. It made a great base for us to explore Cornwall and to be able to cook meals and be able to play games/socialize in the evenings. Thankfully there is Wifi included with the rent of this property as there is zero phone signal. It threw us all off the wifi a couple of times.. we just switched the hub off and restarted it and we reconnected. A pint of fresh milk, tea bags, coffee and sugar being left for us was very much appreciated when we arrived. Surprisingly everyone slept well throughout our stay. Beds were comfy, albeit quite hard and the mattresses quite noisy.

Unfortunately, there are a couple of things that weren't great about our stay. It wasn't 100% clean when we arrived. The upstairs ensuite toilet had dark coloured marks (There is only one thing I can assume this was) around the rim and hairs - before anyone could use it. I took my own bleach, but shouldn't really have to! The shower height adjuster was also broken meaning we could not use the shower without holding the shower head seeing as we are both quite tall. There is also no bathroom bin within this bathroom, there is also not one in the bedroom. At very least, a bathroom bin should be provided in each bathroom. In the kitchen, the cutlery needed washing before we could use it as there were remnants of food from previous guests still on the cutlery. The breadbin had not been wiped out as there were crumbs all in it (not just a few) and when I went to use the microwave, I was surprised to find a microwavable heat pad left by another guest meaning that the microwave hadn't been cleaned or checked between visits. I tried to use the dishwasher, however it wouldn't start - on inspection it required salt. I would have no problem with buying salt to replace had I been able to use it, but it would not start the cycle at all. We just stuck to washing up. In the shared upstairs bathroom, there was no toilet roll holder nor was there a toilet brush. These are just some basics that this property is missing/needs to fix. The temporary repair to the flooring by the front door wasn't amazing, appreciate it has made it safe, however a proper repair would be much better and would make it look better rather than it being held together with tape! Unfortunately. Showering became a bit of a chore. Every time someone tried to shower, it was hard work. Water pressure was mediocre at best. At points, the shower would literally run to a trickle. It would take quite a while for the water to run hot and would randomly run ice cold in the middle of a shower.

chipped cup in cupboard and a mouth was cut using it with out realising it was chipped. we left it on the side so that it could be disposed off.
