Poor communication and customer service

Travelers, you're on your own with this one. Please note that this site is NOT in Galway City which can be an easy mistake to make. It is in fact a 50-minute drive outside of the city--in Galway County. I booked it over St. Patrick's weekend without realizing this, and when I called to cancel as soon as I found out, the property owners refused to communicate regarding a possible refund for any of the days, and I ended up being told by Booking.com that they were not going to refund at all. I understand that the instructions stated nonrefundable. However, it would have been nice if they had at least double-checked that I was indeed looking for something so far away from the city since that was the obvious tourist destination for such a holiday.

The family is so lovely, kind and generous, they helped us a lot. The house is beautiful and the room is very nice and so clean. You have towels, shampoo and hairdryer in. We’ve been so comfortable. We would like to come back again because it has been a great trip. I absolutely recommend this accommodation. Thanks a million for everything. See you very soon.

Polite and friendly.

The most comfortable sleep I have had in two months 😴 Slept straight through the night for 8 hours, then fell back asleep for 2 more hours 😴 I would recommend staying here, and the host was polite and friendly 😊

Lovely hosts and a very clean and big room with bathroom

Super nice host. We got greeted by a very friendly woman who showed us the room and was open to every question. When we left the next they her husband was also super friendly and made sure that everything was in our favour. The neighborhood was very quiet as well. We would definitely come back and can recommend this stay.

Only "downside" but this is something that you should know before because you see it on the map, It's 50 min from Galway away.

A very nice and quiet location. Room was spotless and comfy. The owners were also very friendly and helpful. A near pub is an excellent bonus!

I felt home, first time after arrival staying with such a wonderful couple. I was a family member.

Elaine and the family were great. The reception was awesome. When checking out this morning so, the couple arranged to get me dropped at the train station, it is a distance since I was having a 24 kilograms suitcase! All was settled quiet well.

The major problem is distance. You need to have your own transport to and from there. And obviously get yourself. Food during your stay because there are no shops near there.

Easy to find, loads of parking space. Very friendly hosts with young children and a great welcome. Tea/coffee and biscuits on arrival. Large bathroom and bedroom, lots of space for luggage if needed. Quiet location so had a great night's sleep. Highly recommended for anyone needing accommodation in this area.
