The location was great and the site is lovely, very child & dog friendly.
Although the property was clean in most aspects it could do with a deep clean as there were quite a few cobwebs and dust in places.
Had everything you would need for a mini break and the milk, tea, coffee & biscuits were a great surprise for our arrival.
The only thing we didn’t have was washing up liquid which would have been useful for after our brew.

Great location, lovely and quiet by the river with a fantastic view of the viaduct. Lovely walk into Whitby and a nice touch having the on site pool!
Awful directions to find the property with the Booking.com address way off from the actual site! Would benefit from telling people it is based at the Captain Cook’s holiday village!!! Spent half hour trying to find the cottage and despite an email to Sykes we had no help whatsoever!
Could have been cleaner. Some stained sheets and bathroom could have been a little cleaner. Would benefit from a good deep clean.

Location was very good
Internet was rubbish and couldn’t watch the WorldCup, my phone wouldn’t connect and had to use mobile data for a week which was and unexpected cost
