Heron Cottage

We were warmly welcomed by Jane on arrival, and the keys were ready in the door of the cottage. She made us feel very comfortable, explained everything clearly, and even brought out the little pony for my children to see and feed, which they absolutely loved. The cottage was spotlessly clean, cosy, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The welcome bottle of wine was a lovely touch after a long journey, and the location was perfect for exploring Northumberland. We also enjoyed being able to see the horses during our stay.

There was nothing we didn't like. Everything was exactly as described, and our stay was comfortable and enjoyable from start to finish.

Bathroom/toilet downstairs ( but not really an issue)

Heron Cottage was clean and comfortable, in a quiet spot a couple of miles out of Morpeth town centre. Kitchen well equipped, fairly new cooker, which works well. Wi-Fi good, TV has Netflix, etc. Petrol station a mile or so down the road has a small supermarket /off licence and a pretty good charging station for electric vehicles, which works without an app.

No problems at all.

Small but well laid out and comfortable. Had good lighting and plenty of comfortable chairs to read in. Had a proper single bed as well as the double, not just a sofa bed.

An easy location if travelling by car, but not really practical otherwise.
