About this house rental

This hillside chalet is ready to turn your vacation dreams into reality in any season! Located minutes away from Holiday Valley and the village of Ellicottville. The home sits off of a quiet country road, within walking distance to state land, on over 2.5 acres that is great for sledding or to build a snowman. There are 4 bedrooms and a pullout sleeper sofa that can comfortably accommodate 8+ guests. The main level features an open floor plan that includes a wall of windows to take in the view, 52 inch LCD TV, in-home WiFi, Nintendo Wii, Pinball machine, river stone sided wood burning fireplace and large dining area with breakfast bar. Prepare your meals in the chef's kitchen complete with a 5-burner double oven range, wine refrigerator, outdoor gas grill, dishwasher and refrigerator. All new furniture and carpet/flooring makes up the living spaces, which includes a lower level game room for board games or puzzles. A washer and dryer are also on site to handle all of your laundry needs. Come with your family and friends to enjoy peace and tranquility in any season!

Mountain Biking: Some of the best single track mountain biking in the east is located in and around Ellicottville. There are miles and miles of trails for every experience level. Bike rentals are available in town!

Hiking: The state parks and trail systems also provide for an excellent hiking adventure. The 3rd largest state park in the country, Allegany State Park, is only a short 15 minute drive away. You can also hike the numerous mountain bike trails that are in the area.

We had the honor to stay in this cozy cabin for a long weekend on the slopes at Holiday Valley! The cabin was within 10 minutes of the resort making it easy to come back to if needed during the day. The cabin was clean and the perfect size for the 10 of us who stayed. It more than met our needs and expectations! The owners kept in touch and made it easy to contact them if needed. We will definitely be coming back!

I can't say enough good things about the main floor of this property ... a big open kitchen, dining and living room area with a wall full of windows looking out over the countryside. There is room for 14 people to sit and eat a meal at some type of table or counter ... and the large dining table was great for game time. We also enjoyed the outside space ... big porch and a nice firepit below. The owners are also very helpful, polite and immediately responsive. All in all, we had a great time. My only two reservations were ... (1) The maintenance company isn't doing a very good job. We could not use the oven because of a significant spill in it that caused heavy smoke, fireplace was full of ashes, broken hanging rack in one of the closets, fire alarm off the wall in the Master ... (2) It would have been nice if all of the bedrooms had a bureau and a nightstand with lamp on both sides of the bed. Furniture in bedrooms was very sparce.

We really enjoyed the space. Great kitchen and living room. Loved having the indoor fireplace. It was a bit too cold to really enjoy the outside space, but it's beautiful. I would say that it only sleeps 10, not 12. (4 bedrooms and a pull out sofa in the basement) Not sure where you'd put the other two people.

We stayed here with several friends for my husbands 40th birthday. The property was beautiful, the house was very nice. I loved the set up. The bedrooms had their own downstairs space for privacy and the master bedroom was very large with a beautiful view! The house is bigger than I expected from the pictures! Would 100% stay here again

Our only suggestion would be a bigger bed in 1-2 of the rooms (or twin size beds). But the listing is accurate and we were not dissapointed and had a wonderful weekend! We rented this beautiful chalet to gather with with family for my dads 70th bday. While we were there my husband and I celebrated 9 years of marriage. It was absolutely perfect. So many games for the kids to stay entertained and such a great view. It did rain our entire stay however we all had so much to do there. Very stocked as well with everything you need. I do wish their wasn't As many spiders lol but that's the country life I guess. Wonderful wonderful rental. We will definitely book again!

Absolutely fantastic stay, had all age ranges and they all very much enjoyed the property and the town of Ellicottville. We had plenty of space and everything we needed right there. The kitchen had enough of everything so our large group could eat in instead of having to dine out. Our most favorite memory well be sitting outside drinking coffee every morning and just relaxing with the view!! The location was easy to get to and was very quiet and peaceful.

We traveled to Holiday Valley for a ski weekend and had a lovely time at this house! We were 2 families (4 adults + 6 children) and there was plenty of space for everyone (had to use the pullout couch in the downstairs living area). Plenty for the kids to do when we weren't skiing....sledding and exploring outside, multiple video game systems in the basement, board games, and hide and seek amongst the 3 levels! There's ample seating in both living and eating area with a large kitchen for prep that is open to the living area and fireplace. Nice to have a separate cozy area for the kids to hang in the basement while us adults enjoyed some quiet time catching up on the main level. Just a 10 minute drive to Holiday Valley ski hill. One tip: if you need firewood, make sure to bring or call in advance. We called the contact given to us once we arrived and never received a call back. This is overall a beautiful home that is well cared-for, well-equipped and fulfilled all our needs. Great weekend! Thanks!

This property had may maintenance issues that should be looked at. It is advertised as having A/C, which it does, but not the entire house, lower level which has 3 of the 4 bedrooms are not, it was very hot and humid when we were there. Fans were in each bedroom, but too hot for that to help much. There is lot of things of do in the area, shopping, hiking and places to eat. The property is centrally located to all of that. You are far enough from town that star gazing is amazing .

Beautiful scenery in a quiet location! Accommodated our group of 9 easily with space for everyone. Multiple levels allowed for different family members to enjoy separate activities without disturbing others. The owner was very responsive to questions/concerns. Ellicotsville is a quaint town with plenty of food and shopping options. We even found vegan options (check out Balloons) there and in nearby Olean.

Place was great and clean! The owners were every responsive when we had some questions. For e.g. when we informed them the slider is lose they were responsive in text. The only thing is you have to bring yoir toiletries which I understand with covid but was a bit of a surprise. The views are amazing! Secluded yet close to the town! We had a wonderful stay at this property. It met all out expectations when we picked it out and found the property to be as described and very nice to stay in. Communication with owners was excellent. We had a few questions and they answered quickly and promptly. View is very nice and the drive into town relatively short. We have stayed at numerous VRBO properties around Ellicottville over the past 3 years. We have enjoyed them all. We have stayed in town, way out of town, and in the middle which is what I would categorize this house as. It's close enough (provided you learn the Rt 71/Sugertown Rd back road) to town for quick trips while enjoying more privacy being out of town. One nice feature of this house over many other houses/townhouses we have stayed at in this hilly region is that you can enter the downstairs bedrooms through sliding glass door and unload/load your car and drop stuff of inside, and your other family/friends can then pick them up while inside and take them upstairs using the inside stairs and you don't need to take the outside stairs (which in the spring/summer/fall is likely no problem, but in the winter right after 8" of Snow can be a bit more challenging). This made for quick and convienent unpacking. Plus, 3 of the 4 bedrooms are downstairs so few suitcases have to go upstairs. Just one bedroom is upstairs. It's nice for the majority of the luggage delivery to be at the same level as the car. Other properties (Especially condo's near the ski resorts) I have had to do 20-30 steps from parking to the front door, and then go up to bedrooms or down to bedrooms. Minor issue once your are settled in, but for me, who does the lugging for the family, I appreciated it and put it in the pro column.

A group of 8 friends gathered for a getaway weekend. Property is exactly as the photos show. We cooked steaks on the grill and enjoyed fires on the inside and out. We had a blast playing cornhole in the snow. We had no issues with TV or WIFI connection. Looking forward to returning again.
