Great place for the summer, but not for the winter

it was a newly renovated hotel with big & comfortable rooms. The pool would be great in the summer but we were there in winter time, so could not use it.

We booked hoping that there was a private sauna/spa, but there was just one tiny external hut with sauna (that was not working) and steam bath (working but had spider webs in it). The shower controls seemed to be broken. We were 3 people crammed in a very small space, so the "Spa" is not recommended for more than 2 persons, and it is not proper spa at all. This is a hotel to enjoy in the summer with mazing infinity pool, but not a winter location, especially given that there are real hot springs/spa hotels nearby.

Exceptional

This place is amazing, absolutely magic, especially at the evening ! This atmosphere is unforgettable... All rooms are new, clean, with perfect view + big pools, bar with good tasted vines and beautiful romantic restaurant with amazing food! Luxury breakfasts and dinners. Also personal was nice and helpful, nothing was problem, all our wishes were fullfiled!

We loved La Quercetta! It’s a newer place with some problems, but they seem like they will work out the issues.

The staff was absolutely wonderful. The location couldn’t be better: the pools, the food, the proximity to beautiful towns and places like Assisi. It seemed that everywhere we wanted to go was about 20 minutes away. The grounds are GORGEOUS. The owners are clearly putting everything they have into this place. The restaurant was so good we ended up eating there maybe 4 or 5 nights. Stunning setting.

The only reason this place doesn’t get a 10 is that Booking lists large rooms as suites. A suite is more than 1 room joined together by a common area. All the suites we booked turned out to be just large rooms with multiple beds. There was 1 real suite with 2 bedrooms that the staff at La Quercetta considered to be 2 rooms so the first night we actually had 1 couple coming in late that didn’t even have a room! We ended up sleeping in our daughter’s large room with 2 beds (1 - a fold out couch) so the late couple had a room. Because it’s the busy season, it was tricky to fix all of the room issues but by the 3rd day we had it all relatively sorted. But beware, these are NOT suites. Even the 2 room “suite” we got didn’t have doors to the bedrooms so they lack privacy. The 2nd problem was air conditioning. They have the air on a schedule. Since we stayed in a variety of rooms, I can tell you that any room on a top floor is much hotter then the ones below. They don’t get more air so you sleep hot there in the middle of summer. They say to open windows but strangely I think they water te grounds at night with reclaimed water and it smells pretty bad. So that’s out. We dealt with it as the positives far outweighed these inconveniences.

The bed was not comfort and did not provide a second pillow,, the room was missing essential items to be a complete room (no mini bar, no hangers in the shower or sink, no bin) the room was not soundproof (we could hear the man next door snoring)

Beautiful location above Foligno between the olive trees. Nice international breakfast, a good restaurant , local wines, own very delicious oil and very engaged and friendly service staff!!

There was no one at the reception, we couldn't get in and we had to sleep in the car at a gas station. Police woke us up telling us we couldn't sleep there. It was an absolute horrific night

Disappointing

The restaurant is good.

Rooms were very basic, like a hostel. A few beds and a hanger, not even one picture, nothing. No fridge! Not one bottle of water. Shower was full of mold, absolutely disgusting. Rooms were cold even after turning the air conditioning off. Very strange to get cold at nigh in such heat. Swimming pool was tiny and full of people, apparently also from outside. I wouldn’t dream of getting near it. Wifi wasn’t working and the reception was bad which was a big issue as we needed to do some work. Glad it wasn’t a holiday or a weekend break for us, I would have been devastated.

We thoroughly enjoyed the property, especially it's location and the staff were happy/friendly too.

Breakfast was fresh and plentiful. After a conversation about dietary requirements, the staff were eager and happy to oblige and provide suitable alternatives.

Our room didn't have any drinking glasses (plastic or glass). Our particular room only had the (double) entry door and no window. So, to secure the room at night by locking the door, we didn't have any fresh air coming into the room. The shower base was showing obvious signs of mould, some of which I cleaned off and the exhaust fan didn't seem to be working in the bathroom.

Amazing place!

Amazing location, amazing the owner, amazing the bathroom, amazing the breakfast!! Everything was fantastic and we really enjoyed the stay, the owner was really nice and funny. We asked for salty breakfast and they accommodated us with pleasure.
