Really nice spot to stay to enjoy visiting Umbria

Friendly staff, excellent plentiful breakfast, delicious, homemade baked goods and everything from the farm Even the homemade yogurt was amazing We had dinner upon arrival on our first night that was out of this world like Michelin star quality It is a beautiful properly and everything was spotless They gave fresh sheets and towels every day It was fun to see the sheep grazing and protective geese when we left in the morning

The bed was a little hard for my husband, so he didn’t sleep well Would have liked a tour or more information on the property, and to learn about their olive oil farm A hand out w recommendations of restaurants to eat or spots to see would also be very nice and add to the experience

A place with strong character and excellent decoration. A lot of time (and resources) have been used to retain the original agricultural character withiout compromising comfort. If you seek an original place, not the usual impersonal hotel, this is your place!

Wonderful hosts at a charming country house and agriturismo

A wonderful & gracious host. A refined experience at a charming country house & agriturismo. We chose an air-conditioned room (Room #8), which had a beautiful view. The pillow was firm, so I asked Sandro for a softer one, which he immediately provided. La Maesta's food is superb. Breakfast is plentiful: torta cakes; biscotti; scrambled eggs; cheese and cold cuts; homemade yogurt; homemade honey and jam; and fruit (apple/pear/kiwi). The cappuccino at breakfast was so good that Hubby drank his, then swooped in and drank mine. So the next morning, I requested 3 cappuccinos so Hubby could have 2 and I could still have one. Was it embarrassing to meet the stereotype of Americans who live life consuming an excess of what any person needs on a daily basis? Yes! But the ladies just laughed & brought us three cappuccinos every day after that. Dinner in the restaurant is tasty. We didn't do half board because most nights, we were out & about. A highlight was the excellent private cooking class by the restaurant's Chef Ledy, with the gracious English translation of Susana. They tailored the menu for me (vegetarian) & Hubby (non-vegetarian). We made gnocchi, tagliatelle & maltagliate; & three delicious sauces. Chef Ledy showed us how to make a decadent egg dish, which we'll likely end up showing off to our American friends (just the dish, not Chef Ledy's secrets on how to make it!) What a wonderful & special experience. We greatly treasure our memories at La Maesta. Indeed, Hubby is now on a quest to make what he calls a "La Maesta Cappuccino". He's trying to convince me that we really do need a new coffee roaster, a new grinder, and an expensive cappuccino machine he found online. He says if we get these, he will wake up early every morning to make La Maesta cappuccinos before he goes to work. So literally, this has been a life-changing experience.

Perfect!

Absolutely wonderful. The people here put so much love and effort in this place. The little details! We enjoyed the regional and fresh food. Foligno is a great transport knot to discover Umbria by train. We arrived here without a car and were not afraid of the 40 minute walk to the center of the city. Sometimes they drove us to the station, we were very grateful for that! Such heaven of a place for all the earth angels longing for peace and beauty.

Beautiful accomodation with very good cuisine in a perfect location

Fantastic location in a beautiful area. Possibilities for hiking in the surroundings of the accomodation. The property itself has been restored in a very tastful way. Restaurant serves fantastic breakfast and dinner with a range of homemade and local specialities. Staff was very helpful and wellcoming.

English channel on the television would be nice.

Unforgettable experience in Umbria in the winter

The agritourismo is fantastic. Excellent staff, great food and amazing scenery. Very easy to access by a car. We participated free pasta/bread making class, which is absolutely unforgettable. We will definitely go back there. Thank you very much for super hospitality.

Soggiorno incantevole

Struttura incantevole, ben tenuta e curata, situata in una posizione strategia che consente di esplorare i borghi nei dintorni ricchi di storia. I titolari sono gentilissimi e ospitali, hanno una profonda conoscenza del territorio e sono pronti a suggerire itinerari e luoghi da visitare. Ogni aspetto è gestito con passione e dedizione. La colazione è semplicemente fantastica. In fase di prenotazione non ho comunicato di essere intollerante al lattosio. Dopo che lo hanno saputo per la mattina successiva mi hanno fatto trovare due dolci senza lattosio buonissimi. Abbiamo adorato il soggiorno e siamo andati via a malincuore. Torneremo senz'altro. Ah, il servizio è top di gamma, massima pulizia di stanza e luoghi comuni. Veramente un incanto.

Bello e suggestivo, qualche dettaglio da sistemare

L'agriturismo è senza dubbio un luogo suggestivo, immerso nella campagna umbra, ideale per chi cerca relax, silenzio e natura. La struttura è davvero ben tenuta: camere arredate con gusto rustico e attenzione ai particolari, spazi comuni curati e una piscina panoramica che regala momenti di puro relax, specialmente al tramonto. La colazione è uno dei punti forti: prodotti genuini e freschi, dolci fatti in casa, marmellate artigianali e yogurt delizioso. Le ragazze dello staff estremamente gentili: sempre disponibili e sorridenti! La cena molto buona e abbondante.

La camera in cui abbiamo soggiornato era leggermente piccola. Perfettamente in linea con lo stile rustico e autentico della struttura: semplice, pulita e ben curata nei dettagli, anche se con spazi un po’ limitati. Per quanto riguarda l'accoglienza, in alcuni momenti abbiamo percepito un atteggiamento un po’ distaccato. È utile segnalare anche l’ultimo tratto di strada, sterrato e piuttosto stretto, che potrebbe risultare scomodo per chi viaggia con auto basse o arriva dopo il tramonto: nulla di problematico, ma da tenere presente al momento della prenotazione.

Agriturismo caratteristico in mezzo al verde propietari molto gentili struttura pulita, ci hanno cambiato gli asciugamani tutti i giorni. Pur essendo fuori città è posizionata molto bene per visitare l'Umbria. Super consigliato!!

Una location accogliente davvero consigliata

Siamo stati ospitati in questa bella struttura dal gusto rustico. Stanze accoglienti ben arredate con belle viste sulla campagna. Comodo parcheggio la struttura si raggiunge facilmente e a pochi minuti si possono visitare i borghi più belli della zona come Spello, Assisi, Montefalco. Colazione ben variegata con prodotti freschi e del territorio. Non mancate di cenare, la chef Ledy offre un menù eccellente dal gusto ricercato con proposte che pur rappresentando il territorio non sono per nulla scontate. Davvero eccellente. Siamo andati via con la certezza di ritornare accolti dal personale che ti fa sentire davvero a casa. Una nota che ci ha particolarmente colpiti è che a cena mi hanno fatto trovare un dolce di cui avevo parlato la mattina e che mi ricordava la mia infanzia e non avevo avuto più modo di mangiare. Un gesto squisito della chef Ledy ed il suo team.
