Nhat Lan Resort

The best thing about my vacation was that I managed to book the only 2 rooms that were next to each other and were sea facing. The distance was just 20meters from the beach. Nothing beats that. The beds were ok but the mattresses were very comfortable.

Service was poor and slow. Room 307 was a serious safety risk as the 3x3 tiles were all cracked and wobbly, short of sticking out. That I reckon will happen with the next big and heavy person steps on it. Room 306 was exposed to direct rain and when the rain came hard, the glass frames were poorly sealed and water was gushing in. The toilet was dark and after the rain, due to the leaking ceiling, the light blew. Never got replaced while we were there. No help with the bags whatsoever. I guess it's really a 2 star facility with 4 star price.

We liked it was on the beach and had a great pool. We loved getting our laundry done as it was affordable, just ask staff. Restaurant, the breakfast was lovely with plenty of options. Dinner was lovely too. The restaurant sits in the beach. Walk up the hill to the bus stop or catch a grab into the night markets. A great pool too and it looks fairly new. Try and and stay at the beach bungalows as they look beautiful. We loved that it was close to King Kong Market where you can get everything!!!

Property could do with refurbishing

We had a beach front room which had nice views. The dinner menu was good and the food while simple was quite good.

The housekeeping was inconsistent and we had to frequently ask for water and towels to be provided. The staff service wasn't good especially at first we didn't even get a hello or a smile when showing up for breakfast. We had to ask for milk for the coffee, butter for the roast etc and were told often that they did not have any. The bed sheets didn't fit the bed properly. Having said that there were two staff members who were great and tried to speak English and the restaurant staff improved their service over the two week period we were there.
