    We had a nice stay at this hotel. It was tucked away in a side street hence felt quiet and secluded. The kids really enjoyed the pool and spend hours there during the heat. The beds were comfy and the included breakfast was substantial. I liked the bungalow feel and the surrounding nature. Big supermarket was just a few minutes walk away however to get to the attractions in the north or south of the island we had to get a Grab which took approximately 30 minutes. Long beach in our area was quite littered with rubbish however if you go to a beach club or restaurant by the beach you can usually enjoy cleaner sand as it's maintained. Overall we enjoyed the stay and could recommend it for those looking for a quiet location.

    Had a wonderful stay at La Mer Resort. The resort has a very good vibe with a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. It is family-friendly and suitable for both couples and families looking for a comfortable stay. The staff are polite, honest, and always willing to help, which made the experience even better. A convenient advantage is that bikes are available for rent at the resort, making it easy to explore the island and nearby attractions. Overall, a pleasant stay with friendly service and a welcoming environment. Highly recommended! 🌴😊

    La Mer Resort is a charming, budget-friendly option in Phu Quoc with a few hits and misses depending on what kind of vacation you’re after. Pros: • The breakfast spread is good and fresh, though the timing (7:30 to 9:30 am) feels a bit early when you’re on vacation, especially if you’re traveling with kids. Getting everyone up and ready in time can be a challenge. • The rooms are well-equipped with essentials like coffee, green tea, and water bottles. • Housekeeping is prompt and done daily. • The pool is on the smaller side but is clean and well-maintained. • It’s not a beachfront property, but the beach is just a short 300-metre walk away. The location is great if you enjoy exploring local eateries and shopping options. • The staff are a definite highlight — warm, hospitable, and very helpful. They assisted us in booking a four-island tour at a much better rate than the popular John Tours and even helped us snag last-minute tickets to the Kiss of the Sea show when Klook showed them as sold out. Cons: • There’s no room service, lunch, or dinner offered at the hotel. So you’ll need to plan your meals — either pack something or head to the main road, which is a 5–6 minute walk away. This can feel tiring, especially after a long day of sightseeing or playing at the beach. • Bike rentals are available but rarely in stock, so you’re mostly relying on taxis or walking. • The walk to the main road is lined with massage parlours, which might not be everyone’s preference. Overall: La Mer Resort is a solid choice if you’re looking for a clean, comfortable stay with helpful staff and don’t mind a bit of walking or planning your meals ahead. It’s ideal for those who want to be close to local life and explore on their own. Just be prepared for a bit of a logistical juggle, especially if you’re traveling with little ones.
