Giulio Cesare Imperatore

Close location to metro station, the Vatican plus lots of eateries. Safe and busy area. Living room was well furnished and comfortable. Helpful assistance by Marco who runs a business nearby and assists the owner (who it seems doesn’t live in the building)settle in arriving guests.

Owner misled us by stating on Booking platform that the hot water issue that a few earlier guests had raised over the past 24 months or so had been fixed. This is not the case and if we knew we would have cancelled our booking. Once we had checked in, the owner messaged us to advised of issues and that we could turn the kitchen tap on to enable water pressure in the shower and get hot water. The reality is that both the water pressure is very poor and warm water is intermittent. Sometimes while showering it would simply return to cold water while other times it would be scalding hot. This was a serious issue and should be openly stated y the owner so other guests are not misled and their visits ruined. Other issues included a non existent locking mechanism for one bathroom door. Both bathrooms needs a proper upgrade. One of the showers was partly blocked and water took a while to drain. This meant those using that shower had to drag out their shower time even more to allow the water to drain before the tap was turned on again. This was so frustrating. The owner should take his family and live in his apartment and face what we had to go through. The owner was very responsive in the lead up to check in but I feel he completely should have been upfront on what we should have expected. Other than these serious issues the apartment is reasonable enough. Booking platform should consider alerting everyone.
