Lovely quiet environment.
Only about eight or 10 rooms so not a huge amount of guest stay at once. The staff made you feel really important the way they served your food and spoke to you. All the food presented was beautiful and delicious and the staff treat you well. We only stayed for the one night as we were doing the Kumano Kodo but wish we could’ve stayed longer

We were running a little past the check in time and messaged the host. They responded straight away that it was okay, let us bathe first before dinner (pushed our meal 30min later).
The place is run by a wonderful family. The onsen is just what you need after climbing the first leg of Kumano Kodo.
The food was great too with variety, so would suit even the fussy eaters.
We hope to be back again!
