Warning to all no internet at all even you cannot make a telephone call!!!!

It's a beautiful place the house is nice spacious quite peaceful

No heating I think it burnt out after the sofa got stuck to the heater and melted onto it ,the hot water was way too hot coming out should have a warning,as for the staircase is on the verge of collapsing one part has been temporarily fixed by metal angles it's shocking for a new build,a warning to all guests that go absolutely no internet at all you cannot dial out on phone either so when you have a problem there is nothing you can do !!!!

Great location as nearby family. On site amenities were great! Spacious cottage, clean enough!

Having no WiFi was a huge issue for us. We went away without my husband so my kids couldn't keep in regular contact with him or any friends during our stay. 0 signal and no WiFi was difficult. Wasn't aware before booking that this would be the case, didn't do my homework! Couldn't keep up with my uni course as planned also because of no WiFi. Property could do with some updating, looks tired, carpets need professionally cleaning. Doggy smell. Property was clean enough but dog hair on bed linen. Knife selection very poor when cooking in every day. Made prepping difficult! Kitchen could do with a few new things. No washing up liquid and no hand soap in the upstairs bathroom although hand soap in downstairs loo and kitchen. Silly things that make a difference to your stay! No welcome pack, couple of nice biscuits but it didn't feel as welcoming as other cottages we've stayed at on this complex. Bit disappointing.

Avoid the cuckoo cottage at Pendra Loweth. Do not give Sykes cottages your money 🤑

My granddaughter enjoyed the facilities at the clubhouse

A few bad mannered staff The cottage was a complete disgrace. It was filthy. I have 20 or so photos which I will be forwarding to Sykes cottages, TripAdvisor reviews and trust pilot. The smell and disgusting carpet to name just 2 of about 30 faults was appalling. Sykes cottages should be thoroughly ashamed for promoting this facility and to have the audacity to take money off people. I would recommend that booking.com remove this advertisement from their website

Very good

We booked the cottage for a family holiday as my son will be starting university in September so he wanted to get a feel of where he would be moving to. The cottage is located in a lovely little village, 'the village of gardens' and is just simply lovely. The on site facilities were good and seemed to have been updated from the photos we saw when we made the booking. The cottage itself was really nice, clean and welcoming. After reading some of the earlier reviews, we were a little dubious but we had nothing to worry about. The cottage was clean throughout and had ample space. The bedrooms were a great size and everyone the beds were great to sleep in. I will be looking to book again for next year at the end of my son's first uni year.

The toaster did not work so this would need replacing. The twin beds are very low, be wary of this.

Lovely property in a great location..

Lovely house on a quiet (at least it was when we visited) established holiday park/complex.. Facilities in the house were good, clean and comfortable if a little tired in places.. The holiday park/complex has a Bar/Restaurant, small shop selling some basic essentials. It has a small gym, pool and indoor spa pool and various outdoor leisure facilities. We really enjoyed our holiday, particularly the proximity to Falmouth and local beaches. Maenporth and Swanpool are the two closest (5-10 mins drive away) and are beautiful.. Get there early though as Parking is limited. Thank you for a lovely stay Cuckoo's Cottage...

Only one small point was the house, particularly the downstairs, smelt a bit 'doggy'.. We have been dog owners in the past and really welcome the ability to take a pooch with us and Cuckoo's Cottage is great in that respect.. The downside is that there can be accidents and damp dog smell consequences. It would be a quick and easy win to have some fragrance sticks or air fresheners left in the property.. We are not fussy/hard to please when it comes to things like this and overall had a lovely time, but wanted to give appropriate "it would have been even better if..." feedback

No information pack regarding what facilities you can use on site. Very intermittent phone signals which gave very limited internet access, BT hotspot available but need decent phone signal to arrange it. Would rate 9 out of 10 but due to lack of phone and internet connectivity 7 out of 10.

The cottage was fantastic and spacious. The little extras of tea, biscuits and milk was an added treat. It has some lovely walking areas around it and it’s not to far from anywhere. It was such a holly place to stay.

There were are few areas that could have been cleaned better, Such as pillow cases in the living room and coasters but they were very small picky things. Also having no internet connection or WiFi was difficult especially with teenage children.
