Friendly apartment in a stunning location.

The property is on a hill and overlooks part of the town. It has wonderful views of the mountains. It’s comfortable with two, good sized bedrooms and a central common room with fridge, small induction hob and all you need if you want to cook. It’s warm and engaging.

I had a fantastic vie of the mountains. Loved waking up and being able to go out on the balcony and have coffee.

If you are walking and dragging luggage it could be challenging as the property is on a hill.

Fully equipped studio apartment with Mountain View’s and close to trails

The studio apartment is very well equipped, it’s small but doesn’t feel cramped, there are plenty of places to store & place personal items. There’s a balcony with view of the mountain and town. We have everything we need to prepare simple breakfasts (boiled eggs, yogurt, fruits, tea and coffee). What we like the most is location, it’s on the edge of the town and close to many trails, we managed very well without a car. Mittenwald and surrounding trails and valleys are so beautiful, we didn’t have enough days to explore, so will definitely come back

The studio apartment is two flights of stairs down the entrance, on the side of a busy hallway, can hear all the foot traffic and voices. The apartment is also visible to people staying at the upper patio outside the restaurant. The one bedroom apartment which is at the top of house is a much better choice

Beautiful stay in a beautiful village.

Lovely, helpful and friendly hosts. The choices and quality of food at breakfast was lovely. We had the room with the balcony overlooking mittenwald, absolutely stunning. The room was to a high standard, with fresh water every day. Really good idea that you can buy drinks from the kitchen that are kept in the fridge, but paying into a honesty box. Thank you for a lovely stay, we look forward to returning soon.

Room is good. Breakfast is gorgeous. I also like the environment at the breakfast room, cozy just like home. The place is close to the trails, easily go walking.

Delicious Breakfast in Southern Bavaria

We loved everything about Pension Schwalbennestl. The room was clean, comfortable, and had a fantastic view of the town of Mittenwald and nearby mountains. The breakfast was delicious and has a good variety. There is plenty of parking between dedicated spaces and street parking. You don't need a car to stay here because the center of town is only a 10 minute walk away, with great hiking trails about as close. This is a great base for exploring Mittenwald or even Southern Bavaria.

Comfortable and clean room with small panoramic balcony. Pretty good buffet breakfast. Very helpful host. Good panoramic position for drivers, with free parking. More difficult for train travellers, with a 15 minutes walk (but affordable). 5 minutes walk from chairlift to the top of the mountain (Kranzberg sesselbahn). On top, welcomes You a good restaurant and lots of footpaths, one of them dedicated to barefooters. However, is possible to go everywhere barefoot as the soil is fully covered with fresh grass and moss that delight Your feet. Highly recommended for barefoot hikers and for people that, perhaps, want to try it for the first time, especially good for children. The restaurant is barefoot friendly and the re are no kind of danger everywhere. The pension is the most affordable and convenient place to appreciate the best footpath experience (barefoot or not).

Our stay was very nice, the room was cozy, breakfast was very good and host was very nice.

The breakfast was very good. The view was beautiful and the room was very comfortable.

There were many steps to get to our room - one flight down to the front door and two more flights of steps down to get to our room. You can walk into town, but it's quite a walk back up the hill.

What a fabulous place!!

The views! The yummy breakfast, the room was clean and comfortable... The location and town centre were absolutely stunning. Would highly recommend this accommodation. Mittenwald is a 'must see' location.
