Great place for mountain hiking

Location is amazing, just around 20 minutes walk from Hochenschwangau where you can go hiking in the mountains, swim in the lake, eat in a restaurant or go to Schloss Neuschwanstein. It's far away enough to avoid the crowds though. There was basic kitchen equipment and bathroom stuff, enough for short stay. There's parking available next to the house. Owner was super nice and friendly too

Apartament needs a bit of renovation (super old electric kitchen stove for example) maybe but it's not that bad.

Amazing location, friendly host, and great value for money.

The property is in an optimal location to visit the Castles and within walking distance of the closest bigger city (Füssen). It is a lovely-sized room with a kitchen included. The host was extremely friendly and helpful. We had an amazing time!

The only downside to the location is that it is along the main road leading to the castles, so a lot of traffic can be heard and the lights from cars, etc, can be seen through the curtains.

Good place, nice and helpful owner

Great location, just 30 minutes walk from town, not much further from castles. The apartment was clean and comfortable, with lovely garden outside to sit and have tea on a sunny day. Good parking space. The owner we met was nice and helpful.

The kitchenette was unusable, the max temperature was very low so it was impossible to cook on it. The mattress on the bed was unfomfortable, I would not recommend anyone with spine problems to sleep on it.

Compact but good stay.

Location. Free parking space. Easy lock box check in. Comfortable bed. Kitchenette. Plenty of hot water. Studio a little small but had everything you needed. Housekeeping checked with us that everything was Ok which was nice.

TV had only one English speaking channel (CNBC) so need to use your own device.

A very comfortable four-night stay. Everything went smoothly and it would be nice to come back in a different season as well. We used buses but also walked to/from Füssen, Schwansee etc.

A lot of bang for the buck!!!

The location was excellent for visiting both castles but the owner went above and beyond. I had forgotten our coffee and she gave us some otherwise we would have had to go out and search for a breakfast restaurant. She was just lovely in every way. She gave us two passes for a free bus ride which we did not use but the thought was there! The apartment was sparkling clean and the bed comfortable and there's a toaster that actually works! Also an electric kettle. The shower, though small, was like a fire hose with hot hot water. Great rental!!

An Alpen Lodge near Neuschwanstein Castle

This is not a hotel, but rather a house consisting of several apartments and a studio. The apartments have a small kitchen and a private bath with a shower. The bigger room is very spacial and has two entrances to a balcony. The balcony wrapping the house is divided between apartments and offers nice views of the mountains. A well kept garden surrounds the house on three sides. The interior yard is a free parking. The kitchen is perfect for a longer stay. Separate rooms are very convenient for a family with children, a pack of 4 companions or just for two people who want to sleep in separate rooms. The location is excellent - halfway between Fussen and Neuschwanstein Castle.

Neuschwanstein view from your bed

Well situated between the Forggensee and the castles, the apartment even comes with its own view on the latter. You'll find everything you need, the place is clean and the host friendly. Be aware: the "Schlossblick" attic apartment has really low beams, everybody beyond a height of 160m will knock their head at least once. To be fair, it was clearly addressed by the owners before confirming the booking.

For some reasons you'll find a sign in the kitchen threatening one to be charged with 20 Euro extra should one leave any non cleaned dishes... not exactly holiday vibes

description very accurate! you can see the castle right outside the building. and it’s super close! was very clean, comfortable and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay! perfect for a family who are traveling here . the extra bedroom for our daughter was nice everyone was able to sleep so good after long day of adventures. checking in and checkout was super easy and parking is available.

there’s nothing we didn’t like about the facility! simply perfect !! and for the price 🤯 you can’t beat this deal!

Dont expect too much, its ok for one night stay

It was possible to park car in the same property. Bed was good. It was ok for one night stay.

Its very remote location, no restaurants near by. Kitchen was provided but there was not exhaust or ventilation. There was a small card placed on the kitchen that cleaning price of kitchen is not included in rent, which was confusing. Although i was not charged anything extra. There are only curtains available and no blinds, so it may be hard to sleep in summer. Also curtains dont cover the complete window, so there is privacy issue.
