Nice stay

Nice location and the staff were friendly.

Out of season, so not much spa facilities. We booked a suite but there wasn't one available. The staff gave us an extra adjoining room.....not really necessary for two of us but they made an effort and reduced the bill.

beautifully located, you can see a wonderful senset just 3 min walking. and the swimming pool/sauna very nice breakfast with healthy options friendly staff (working their ass off though)

Very nice gasthouse with lovely staff

Perfect location for hiking in the Black Forest! We watched the sunset on a mountain top on a 3min hike from the hotel, loved the little sauna after hiking all day and we're offered free drinks by the pool at night.

We had a shared hallway for the bathrooms which was perfectly fine but a bit noisy as the walls were not sound proof.

We really recommend this hotel and we would like a taste of it during winter aswell.

Breakfast was great and the service perfect. Melanie, the manager, was there when we had a personel problem to solve. She was very efficient and cool. Thank you Melanie and your dad aswell. Rooms are spacious, quiet and clean. Wifi in the room was top. We had a 5 night stay and were very satisfied. A visite during the winter must be very nice aswell.

the view from the restaurant into the forest. family run feel . the location.

the design of the shower room. it included the sink in the shower area so not practical for two people to use at once. whole “bathroom” is wet when using the shower.

The dinner was underwhelming and the room was tiny, even after we'd received a complimentary room "upgrade".

Great location in the Black Forest to enjoy the snow.

We booked a suite and didn't get one because they overbooked their amount of rooms. We got a normal room without any refund. Dinner was a "buffet" with very small choice (salad bar and frozen products, didn't taste good), not what we expected... For Covid not the place to go, as people were close to each other and bumping into themselves at the buffet. 2 nice saunas, but with almost no space to relax/lay down (one with 5 long chairs, the other one without), when crowed you need to wait and stand.

Delightful hotel with minor shortcomings

Superb location in the heart of the black forest with lots of trails and attractive destinations for day-trips right there. Good sauna area. Decent food and breakfast. Comfortable beds and pillows. All in all decent price/performance ratio. The spa area is still under construction (August 2021) but looks promising.

Lack of shower curtain/ door makes bedroom quite humid after showering. Soaps in the bathroom were not refilled regularly. The sauna while functioning and relaxing was not given a lot of attention by the staff (e.g. soap and water not refilled, lack of proper instructions or recommendations)

The room was very luxurious and we slept like royalty. Being right on the Westweg trail it was ideally situated.

We found it a bit expensive, likely a case of supply and demand.

The music in the general rooms as the dinner, breakfast, reception with radio Regenbogen or something. Come on please play music, no commercial radio, especially during breakfast. Lack of guidance on the breakfast tables. There were no room numbers just the amount of plates decided what to take. The can with coffee was there independent on what time you arrived at the breakfast. We had to take another pot from another table which was used. I asked one of the personal (I had to search for them) and I got a short and rude answer from the reception lady who was mopping the floor without even looking at me. Hospitality?!

Room for improvement. We stayed for two nights, they did not clean our room. Website said that restaurant was open until

Sauna. We booked only for two of us. I liked the honey that they served for breakfast. One of the waiters spoke Serbian and it was very helpful in the evening when they didn't serve us dinner.

Für einen Kurzurlaub für Saunagänger top. Im Sommer ist es für Wanderer auf sehr schön gelegen.

Die Lage ist sehr schön. Das Hotel sieht auf den ersten Blick überaltert aus aber es war im Innenraum auf dem neuesten Stand. Auch die Zimmer waren in Ordnung. Die Sauna mit den Ruheräumen waren top. Man konnte sogar im Aussenpool schwimmen. Er war zwar nur 25 Grad warm aber nach der Sauna super.

Es sind wirklich Kleinigkeiten wie zum Beispiel das Leuchtmittel blinkten… da müssen dann die Birnen getauscht werden. Oder das die Heizköper entlüftet werden. Aber wie gesagt Kleinigkeiten.

Toller Aufenthalt aber Personal nicht sehr reaktiv

Tolle Lage, guter Saunabereich, leckeres Frühstück und Abendessen.

Das Personal war vielleicht unterbesetzt denn um ein Getränk zum Abendessen (Buffet) und einen Kaffee zum Frühstück zu bekommen mussten wir das Personal aktiv darauf ansprechen. Beim Frühstück hatten wir uns zuerst in den falschen Saal gesetzt weil uns niemand gezeigt hat wo wir hinsitzen sollen. Der Saunabereich mit Schwimmbad ist toll. Aber zu den Hotelausstattungen (Sauna oder Abendessen) haben wir leider keine Informationen am Check-in erhalten oder im Zimmer gefunden. Wir mussten das Personal aufsuchen und aktiv danach fragen. Es gab leider keine Bademantel mehr. Wir hatten trotzdem einen schönen Aufenthalt! ☺️

Zwei schöne Tage in ruhiger Atmosphäre zum Körper und Geist lüften.

In sehr schöner Lage in unmittelbarer Nähe zur Schwarzwaldhochstraße gelegen ist diese Unterkunft der ideale Startpunkt für Wanderungen und Aktivitäten. Das Frühstücksbüffet wahr reichhaltig und lecker. Gerne und jederzeit wieder.

Frühstück war ok

Das Hotel präsentiert sich als Sport- und Naturhotel, kann diesem Anspruch in der Realität jedoch leider nicht gerecht werden. Insgesamt wurden Erwartungen geweckt, die vor Ort nicht erfüllt wurden. Der Pool war während unseres Aufenthalts nicht geöffnet und steht offenbar nur in den Sommermonaten zur Verfügung. Dies war im Vorfeld nicht klar ersichtlich und passt nur bedingt zum beworbenen Angebot. Besonders enttäuschend war die Halbpension am Abend. Das Buffet war sehr überschaubar, es gab weder Gemüse noch Salat, was gerade bei einem angeblichen Sport- und Naturhotel sehr verwundert. Zudem wurde das Buffet nicht nachgefüllt und war nicht beschriftet – man wusste teilweise nicht, was man überhaupt isst. Das ist auch im Hinblick auf Unverträglichkeiten problematisch. Der Wellnessbereich konnte ebenfalls nicht überzeugen: Von zwei Saunen war lediglich eine in Betrieb, insgesamt ist der Bereich klein und wenig einladend. Das gesamte Hotel wirkt stark in die Jahre gekommen und könnte dringend modernisiert werden. Viele Bereiche machen einen abgewohnten Eindruck und entsprechen nicht dem Bild, das online vermittelt wird. Unterm Strich bleibt der Eindruck, dass hier mehr versprochen als geboten wird. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis passt leider nicht.
