Kransplaas - Springbok Cottage

Coming from the city with people around you 24/7, this was an oasis of peace. The house was smack bang in the Karoo with the quintessential Karoo bossies growing all around. The only sound was that of nature. The kitchen had the most amazing ground coffee for a perfect start to the day and also a packet of delicious rusks to go with it. There was enough shampoo and lotion that you don’t have to shake the daylights out of the small bottles usually found at places. The wood provided for the braai was perfect! They also provided clean filtered water and bags of ice in the freezer. We did some hiking while we were there and spotted 2 sables, rooibokke, springbokke, a kudu and a lot of gemsbokke. All round just fabulous.

Beautiful quiet spot just outside of Graaf-Reniet. Rosanne was helpful when we needed an extra night accommodation at the last minute. Spotlessly clean and private, highly recommend.

Watching 180 degrees of sunset. Unfortunately too cloudy to watch the stars. We made a nice braai. Spacious cottage. Well equipped kitchen - good sized fridge. Big patio. Wonderfully placed in the open veld, no neighbors.

Didn't understand the 4 x single beds in the only bedroom - would have liked a queen size bed (maybe I did not read the information about the property properly). I felt that there is potential to make the cottage more homely with much more Karoo character - it was all just a little bland.
