Matilde on reception was wonderful, very helpful. The room was spacious and beautifully decorated with a lovely bath.
when we arrived our first day and night there was only one person on the front desk, noone anywhere else. There was no bar and on the second night when the restaurant was open there were staff all around but noone asked us if we wanted a drink. The restaurant sadly only offered a set menu for £139/head, and breakfast was 37euro's each, so we didn't take up this offer, choosing to use the local tabac's and restaurants instead. it was such a shame as the hotel building is beautiful, but the gardens were neglected and in the central atrium it all felt a little worn and tired, with an empty water fountain.
