Millers House Boutique B&B

Great property. We specifically wanted the the room with the outside patio and it was better than expected. It was just as seen in the online photos, other than what appears to be a newly installed aluminium pergola - a PRACTICAL pergola as it has an adjustable louvre roof - great for both sunny (open louvres) and rainy (close the louvres and it's waterproof) days. Actually, we were so impressed that we've decided to get a similar pergola ourselves! Comfortable bed. Beautiful bathroom. Tea/Coffee making facilities. Small mini-bar/fridge with very reasonable prices - not OTT prices like they charge in most hotels. You COULD hear cars passing by, but it was more of a white noise and not at all distracting or disturbing, so a very serene setting. Margita, the owner/host, was great. Very accommodating, likeable personality - made us feel very welcome. Having already had a hectic day before we arrived, we didn't venture out after checking in - but I understand there are a number of places to visit, all within easy reach of the property. Freshly cooked-to-order breakfast (full English) was excellent! Would definitely stay again.

Property a bit hard to find - Northlands Park is a tiny side turning (almost like a driveway, rather than a road) and easily missed unless you know exactly where it is. Our car Sat Nav couldn't pinpoint it and even Google Maps wasn't clear. The property itself is behind closed security gates, for which you need to exit your car and press the intercom. Likewise on exiting, the gates don't automatically detect your car and there's no intercom - so you have to phone Millers to let you out. (If you're going out/coming back once you've checked in, it's not a problem as your room keys include an external gate fob).

Location, on a private road so really quiet. Breakfast was all we needed to start the day. The room was spacious without being oversized with a great bathroom, shower lovely and big. Access to a patio area to relax in, between rain showers.

Lovely B&B, beautifully presented and very close to the station down a private gated road. Warm, friendly,welcoming host. I have stayed here before and was happy to return

Literally the only drawback is the A27 which passes nearby on a flyover. There is obviously some noise. Weighing this against the convenience of the location and the ambiance of the place, it isn't really a problem for me
